Pretty accurate for a inexpensive item.
Though not sturdily made, they do the trick and are a less expensive way to add a counter without buying another reel.

Spend the extra and get a better line counter
I was being cheap as I don’t troll much. Decided to try this out as people have been doing well trolling for walleyes on the St Croix and Mississippi River here in the Midwest. Needed a line counter so I know how much line is out, but found this counter to be very inaccurate. One foot of line on the counter is like 2 foot of line actually pulled out! Item not as described!

Didn't seem accurate
I used this to spool a bg5000 told me I had 198ft of line on reel at 1/8 from the spool edge, the clamp worked good, counter not so much.

Adding Backer
Does a nice job adding backer to reel.

Item came w no instructions, only diagram of how to install line. Have not yet been able to get it to give accurate measurements.
