I was looking for something beautiful to replace my boring daily planner cover. This is it! And it has the look of something made by a real person who may have enjoyed making it. Basic black is what I was looking for, but beautiful engraving. The best part is the tie-clasp, which my old planner didn't have. I've gotten a lot of positive comments on this and will probably get one for each of the kids. It arrived very quickly, which was cool.---This really holds up. Been using this for nearly 4 years, and it looks like I bought it yesterday. I put my wirebound Daytimer(c) in one side and a softcover Moleskin in the other, which I use for meeting notes. Now if I could just find the perfect pen...

As one who works in leather, I can say that the pressed pattern is done very well. Hand working would be nice but if I made it, the price would be, well, a bit more. The sewing is consistent, even, and smooth. I wanted a refillable journal to write down book ideas, leather designs, as well as an occasional poem. You should not be disappointed in any product you get from Oberon.

I've wanted an Oberon journal for ages and was pleased to find them here. The cover is thick and sturdy and the pages in the refill included are thick enough to use the wettest of fountain pens. This beautiful journal will be treasured for years to come.

I was a little hesitant about this purchase, but only until I received it. I use this almost daily, and have been impressed with its quality and functionality. It started out as a slightly stiff functional product, but as I've used it, it has started to wear and meld in a very personalized way without losing any of its charm. Like a red wine, it seems to actually improve with age.I'm currently using it with an Evernote Moleskine notebook, which fits nicely inside.

Artist, writer or note taker ... you cannot go wrong with this product. I have been a customer of Oberon for eons. I am disappointed that they no longer offer this in the wine color they used to ... this one is intended for home use so ... always pleased with Oberon!

Beautiful book cover. Subtle and elegant for a BOS or a treasured diary. I love that you can get refills. Just wish it came even larger for larger books.
