I’d give this ZERO stars if I could. I ordered this because it had a 20W bulb and a long cord. I received one and it was missing the chain/attractant/brush/directions. This wasn’t the fault of the maker: whoever sent it slapped Amazon tape over half the lid of the box (it was sent in the product box, not an additional Amazon box) and the other half was gaping. I’m sure these extras fell out. So, I ordered another one and it came shipped in just the product box. No biggie. The light lit but it did not zap bugs. Bugs were crawling all around inside on the wires and....nothing. Okay, this happens sometimes. I took the first one I received and....identically the same thing. Light worked, crawling with bugs and no zapping. Frustrating to say the least.We had a LOT of rain recently in south Texas and the mosquitoes have been horrendous. I was unwilling to wait for another, so I spent $20 more and bought one at Wally.The prices of the zappers were great on Amazon and if it weren’t for the fact that we had a recent influx of mosquitoes, I would have waited another few days.Also, the paperwork that came with this zapper offered a $30 gift card to Amazon if the zapper didn’t work for ANY reason. That’s nice and all but it cost more than $30 (and it says you can keep the non-functioning zapper....why?!). Anyway, be warned.

High quality build of thick ABS over cheap flimsy plastic, nice looking and easy to clean, I have used other zappers in the past and this one tops them all and you can’t go wrong with the price either.

I love this bug zapper,. It’s waterproof and works wonderfully. My cat love this too. Whenever they hear a bug being zapped they both run to watch it fry the insects. I guess cooked gourmet insects are tasty 😻

Looks sturdy, nice and got the job done, left it on for 40 minutes and the result is in the picture they are attracted to the light and die at touch. You just remove the tray later. I am alergic to mosquito bites and with renovated backyard this was needed for me. As the weather has warmed up this week in Texas, I put it to test was able to enjoy some time in my backyard with no mosquito bites until it got dark. I wish it was not bulky but I guess the more light more efficient to attract mosquitoes, I wish the cord was longer since there is a hook to hang up higher if needed. I used a cord extender, just fyi, anything to get rid of mosquitoes for me. For this price I recommend it.

This is a great bug zapper, the only problem is the grate around the outside is to tight for bigger bugs to get in so I cut ever other cage rail to make it easier for bugs to get in to the zapper grid. Otherwise it's a great zapper

I hung the light under my breezeway to keep it out of direct rain. Unfortunately the bulb gave out after only 2 days. There is NO on and off switch thus needs to stay on all day long unless you want to go through the trouble of unplugging it. That should have been my first clue this is a substandard product. I would have gladly paid the extra money for it to have a switch. After the bulb stopped working, I looked into removing the bulb to inspect it but there’s a small opening on the bottom which has a cover holding two very small screws. Once taken off, there’s no way to remove the bulb without breaking it because you can’t put your hand to pull the bulb from the socket. This is because the zapper mesh surrounds the bulb thus making it very difficult to pull on the bulb from its bottom tip. Decided to return it instead. Pay more for a zapper that is easier to own.

This bug zapper is highly effective. We needed something to deal with the volume of small buzzing vermin on out front porch. It provides a nice long cord to move it where needed abs has given hours of relief when sitting outside

Wanted to keep myself and my loved ones as safe as possible from the diseases that mosquitoes and flies can bring. Flies spend all day hanging on waste and garbage.. and then end up on your food. So I’d like to avoid that as much as possible.The zapper itself is really nicely made and the design that it uses makes it very difficult for any accidents to occur which makes it a safe option for those who have young children. We're spending more time outside at night and I feel safer knowing that this bug zapper is doing its job. I love that you can remove the collection try to empty out the insects too.. helps keep things looking clean.
