Lock and Lovewomens Waist Waist

It is very long. I'm 5'8" and it comes to my ankle bones. I did get a large for fear that it would be tight around my waist but I wish I would have gone with the medium. It would have made it better suited to wear high waisted rather than just on my hips. That said it feels like wearing pajamasTruthfully, I though it was boring when it came and meant to return it but now it's been more than 30 days. So, it's mine forever.

This skirt is a perfect addition to my wardrobe. It washes well, fits well, and can be dressed up (casually) or down. I wear it to go shopping and to the office. It is very comfortable. I've already purchased a second one and will likely buy a 3rd!

I have ordered several pieces of clothing from this line over the last few years. This skirt is a nice material - very soft, lightweight yet opaque, flows nicely. However, the waistband is so tight it's painful. I am literally sore today from having my insides squeezed after wearing the skirt all day yesterday. It IS an elastic waistband, and the skirt glides on just fine, but once it's on, this strong, firm band around the waist just squeezes me in. I was tugging at it all day. This is not a tummy control feature - it's tight just in the waistband. I'm baffled by this because (A) I ordered my usual size and (B) I'm actually small-waisted in proportion to my hips, and the skirt is very roomy in the hips, so why would it be so tight in the waist?? Ordering a size up wouldn't have worked either, because then the rest of the skirt would be too big and just look sloppy. Disappointing, because otherwise it's a great skirt for the money.
