Micro Mir ***SSN-571 'Nautilus' U.S. Nuclear Submarine 1/350 350-009

This NAUTILUS model was an interesting build. Not many parts, and a good amount of surface details. Overall I am satisfied with the model, however I did have a couple of minor complaints. My first complaint is that the model has no locating pins/holes to aid with the assembly of the model. This made it difficult to correctly place the planes and the hull pieces. My second complaint is that the hull pieces didn't meet flush. This required a fair amount modeling putty and sanding. Other than that, the model looks good, it has a good amount of photo etch pieces to make it the most detailed SSN I've made so far.

The model kit arrived quicker than estimated when I bought it. The kit looks good and is a model of a submarine not made by other manufacturers.
