Royals of Villain Academy: Books 1 - 4

I highly recommend reading through this box set so you don't have to stop and wait for the next book.I love the pacing of these books. They're easy to read, to understand, and follow. The author takes her time and beautifully builds up about the clash between the 'freamancers' and 'joymancers' as the main female lead 'Rory' learns - you learn what happened to her and her parents and why.There are a lot of layers to this FMC. You don't see it right away, but she never wavers from her beliefs, and as she learns more about who is, she becomes stronger.She doesn't have the option of sitting back and resting on her families good name. She does, however, find with her new position, new name, and new rank, there are people out there who want to undermine her and make her look weak. They attack her as a way to break her so that they can control her.She doesn't know who to trust. But gradually, one by one, she begins to find people she can turn to, and eventually, she finds a few she can give all of herself to.This is a good, well written story that has you coming back for more.Now I'm off to read the next box set 5-8!

Really good dark academia read, enemies to lovers vibes, magic, very very good spice, plot twists, political intrigue, and character development

What a great fun read. The characters are interesting and the story lines are fascinating. With each page you want to see what is going to happen on the next one.

Great plot. Kept my interest which is not easy to do. Many different view points from different characters. Can't wait to read stories 5-8. Finished 1-4 in less than a week.

I found the main characters in this book interesting to follow but the main premise of magic ruling lives and familiars that go with magic a bit over the top! The initial topic is ‘breaking’ someone who might be as powerful as you and ruling by fear. Rory manages to remain ‘unbroken’ without using violence or harm. The development of Rory’s affairs with the other scions is a bit over the top. The familiar topic of parents thinking they can control their children is a great part of these stories. I suspect the next books will have not only the children overcoming the parents but also good defeating evil and the world will be a much better place but I will probably not read them

I really liked this series. The villains are very villainy. Thank goodness Rory has a backbone. I can’t wait to read more about Rory and her scions.

As it got closer and closer to the end I wasn’t sure how this book would wrap up. Turns out - it didn’t. There’s more to come in Rory’s story and I look forward to seeing more of this worldI enjoyed the suspense of both the trial and figuring out who Rory can trust since the fesrmancers are getting more bold in several ways.

One of the better books I’ve read

I am absolutely in love with this series and cannot wait to go and start the next set (5-8) I love Rory's grit and determination, the lass has spirit!! Not to mention the guys, oh to be the Rory in that pentacle!!!

Excellent read, enjoyed the way the book had a real story without over indulging in the romantic aspects. Looking forward to the next series.

Eva Chase builds worlds that are just absolutely amazing. Her books never disappoint the characters suck you in. Needing more, wanting to know every little detail.

the premise is interesting, the story is pretty good but the sex scenes eventually start and then they get more numerous to the point where the story is really just an excuse to write porn. Disappointing.

Wasn't sure if I was going to like this series at the start but by the end of first book i definitely wanted to read more , bit slow at times but there is something about this that makes you want to find out more .love the characters Conbar & Jude geabthe sympathy tmvite & Malcolm while the bad guy he gas his reasons for what he does , sometimes people are there to change things & that's why Rory has been taken to villan academy someone brought up outside the bullying fear producing society can hopefully unite the joy/fear manners after living both sides of the lives .
