Never did I think I would get excited over a pastry cutter wheel, yet here I am... I regularly bake sourdough starter crackers and make the occasional homemade raviolis, and this cutter has worked perfectly for both. It adds that little extra visual element to your food that makes it feel more professional and fun. The tool is very well made and extremely easy to clean. I recommend this to people all the time!

I bought this because it was recommended in Cooks Illustrated. I've used it to cut pie dough for a lattice, as well as cutting pastry dough to make a tart. In both cases, the results were tasty and good-looking. The wheel itself is a little hard to clean, since there are so many edges. I really only do this kind of baking around the holidays, so why not have the best-in-class tool for the time of year when I need it?

I do not usually buy gadgets unless I will use them for multiple projects. I am extremely happy I bought this cutter! I just used it to put a pretty edge on some holiday cookies and it worked beautifully. It did not stick to the dough like a pizza cutter does, and the finished effect was beyond what I was hoping for. It rinsed clean quickly, and was very sturdy to use for cutting.

Used this for cutting pasta. Tool was too flimsy for this price point. There are better tools out there for pasta. I don't make a lot of pies. It would probably work better on pie dough.
