Five Star Radio.
The Elan Connect+ is a fantastic portable Internet radio. It was simplicity itself to setup which was good because the typeface in the instruction sheet was too small for me to read without a magnifying glass. The sound reproduction is very good, as is the build quality of the radio.Definitely a 5 Star product.

It’s good, but…
The Good: It’s a nice little unit with a clear display, easy to set up and stereo sound is more than adequate for a kitchen, which is where we now use it. BTW, we had to buy a separate, quite cheap, mains power brick in order to use this without batteries. The Bad: If you use it with batteries the attrition rate is atrocious. We originally used this in the bathroom, and often the radio would conk out, drained of power. We were recharging batteries and swapping them over far more often than we thought should be necessary. There are three buttons to set preferred stations. Only two of them will hold the setting once the unit is turned off. Lastly, the unit will not hold time settings and for some reason after midnight reverts back to the time originally set, before clocks went forward in the UK.Summary: A decent-ish gizmo, if you are willing to overlook the shoddy software, questionable hardware and lack of supplied mains power. In the words of the immortal Roy Walker “It’s good, but it’s not right.”

Does what it says & easy to use
Great little Radio - does all the key radio reception methods in style. Fully logical & intuitive + easy to use. Great sound for a small radio too & an equalizer that makes a difference.Overall - I am most impressed.

FM tuning impossible
Turned on FM and could only get a jackhammer racket on all frequencies. Return label printed on same day as receipt and returned the next day. Very disappointed in view of the generally good reviews the item had received on Amazon

Delightful compact radio
Watched a video on this and stunned at the versatility of this little box. Sound quality is good for such a small box but it's a PURE so no big surprise there. DAB and FM as expected the jewel in the crown is internet radio. Where DAB is intermittent internet radio comes to the rescue all major radio stations are there plus any from around the world. I tried a Brazilian station worked perfectly. Also has a podcast channel not used yet

Good for the price
The DAB was easy to set up using the wizard, and, with a bit of fiddling with the EQ, the sound is good.Bluetooth is a bit of a faff, will not automatically connect to my phone despite being paired. I have to go into BT set up on radio then connect from the phone. Works fine after that. The Internet radio mode is fantastic. So many stations! As others have mentioned, the UNDOK app works with this, so you can use your phone as a remote. This also makes searching for stations much easier.

Sound quality - a hopefully helpful detail
Sound quality - a hopefully helpful detail: There are enough general reviews already for me not to go over the same ground. However, one point on sound quality might be missed. As delivered to me, the sound was mumbly. Going into "System" is "Equaliser". I found the presets "eg 'News' still left the sound mumbly. However the final preset, labelled, "My EQ", and hidden just off the bottom of the screen, provided a standard equaliser eg Treble slider + to -, and Bass slider + to -. In my case cutting bass a couple of points and boosting treble to nearly max points did what was required, and it now sounds fully equal to anything I have of equivalent size and weightUsing the 3.5mm outlet into my wifi system and using as a tuner., the sound quality appears excellent. However a cautionary note: my hearing no longer reaches 14K, and my WiFI does not use Electrostatics and matching gear, so some better kitted folk might disagree?
