School Years Keepsake Book

I got this memory book for my son who'll be starting preschool next year and it has a lot of great features.It goes up to 8th grade (instead of 12th grade), which I actually prefer because I'd want something a little more in depth and mature for his teenage years. Also by the time he's in high school he'll be old enough to capture his own memories.It's a nice large size, which is one of the main reasons I chose this one. Every other page (for every grade) there is a pouch that can fit 8" X 11" size pictures, drawings, etc. This is great for large class photos. Every grade also has an area for an individual photo and there are photo slots on the cover.The content is decent. The questions are pretty basic, but the format is different for every year so it's not the same questions every time. It would be great though if there was a blank area so you can add your own questions and information.The voice recording is a cool feature. You can record your child's voice at every grade so it'll be neat to see how they change and progress through the years. The instructions for the recording are easy to follow and they're conveniently written right on the book so you don't have to worry if you forget how to do it each year. The audio quality isn't the best as it sounds a little muffled, but for the inexpensive price I consider this feature more as a bonus than a necessity.The overall quality is not the most sturdy. The cover and pages are made out of thin cardboard, which feels a bit flimsy. The plastic film for the picture slots on the cover is also thin and flimsy. I'll definitely be handling this book with care in order to preserve it for as long as possible. For the inexpensive price though (about $9 at the time of purchase) the quality is as expected.

This book is a cute idea, but in reality it is just okay. The first one I received was broken and Amazon quickly and happily replaced it. The second one I received worked but the recording quality is very poor. I tried my best to get quiet conditions while recording but even so there are many crackles and static sounds when you playback. It does not seem to accurately record the child's voice, the whole point of the book!

Terrible product! Ordered 2 both were defective! Very disappointing it is such a great idea!

Love this school years book. Great price and great quality. I am not sure I will use the recording feature but I tested and it works.

Great little keepsake to keep as a project to do for years to come at the end of every school year. It is great to look back on once completed.

I bought this for both of my children. It's great because you have pouches for each year and record their voice each year so you'll always have their voice saved by grade.

We love this easy scrapbook. The battery lasted about 3 years and now needs to be replaced, but it says that the recordings won't be lost.

Not very good at all. Of poor quality and a most annoying nasal American accent.

Great album with pockets for each grade up until 8. I wish the pockets were bigger than standard letter size for those odd items your kid brings home that are a bit bigger, also wish it included some extra pouches for highschool/post secondary grades. The recorder is easy to use, has a switch to lock audio recordings in to prevent over recording by accident. Plenty of time for your little tike to try and say something fun. Listening to the playbacks is fun!

Bought one similar for first child and then found this one for second child. Makes a neat little spot to put class photos, report cards ect.

The book was ok but it looks a bit outdated. Like it has been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a long time. Thank god it was covered in plastic because some of the corners were faded.

the recording device doesn't work which is very upsetting as my niece is getting older and her voice is changing....if something can be done about this it would greatly be appreciated!
