This is sturdy and easy to build. I had purchased a bench pillow for it before assembly so not sure how it feels without it. It looks amazing in my office. Using it as a seating place for pastoral counseling. I use storage baskets in the shelf under the bench for additional storage in my small office. Wonderful multitasking piece of furniture.

The wood used for this bench is not like teak. If you leave it exposed to the elements, it will rot. Having said that, the bench seems to be pretty solid when assembled correctly, although the first bench I bought had a crack along one leg. I haven't received the replacement yet, but if it's not damaged in any way, it'll probably do well on my covered porch.

The bench is great! This 63 yr old woman quickly assembled by myself! Holes lined up and went together perfectly!! I love the two tone wood and is sturdy and just the right size for my need as you can see from picture. I thought the distance from shelf to bottom of seat would be a bit more/ taller as I hoped to have plants under it... but not quite!! Maybe some shallow planters of succulents would work!
