What is the specification for the 4 pin header. I want to use an external switch to control power, so I will need a 4 pin pigtail and need the size?

Can this hat detect a power outage and safely shutdown the ras pi before a ups runs out of power?

Actually it cannot "detect" a power outage. You would have to employ some sort of signaling from your UPS to the Pi. Then the UPS monitoring service would need to start an orderly shutdown. If you've installed the required scripts, the Pi will be shut down gracefully and other devices shut down properly... e.g. SSD or HDD.

can this be used with X728?

Hi friend, If you have X728, then you do not need the X735, for cooling, you can consider to use X728-A1 or P165-A embedded aluminum alloy heatsink. X735 does not support to use with X728. best regards, Geekworm Team
