A AIMILAR 999 Days Countdown Timer Digital Clock Retirement Vacation Event Day Counter with Count Up Function

The clock seems to stay accurate, but only time will tell. The large numbers (timer) are easy for me to read, about 21mm or 7/8" high. The small numbers (clock) are about 7mm or 1/4" high. It works as I expected. First, set the clock to the precisely correct time. Then, for instance, to set it to countdown until New Years Day, I set days to 213. The hour, minute, and second set to midnight (00). Then when the clock strikes midnight, pushed the "Start" button. Then it immediately begins the countdown! Cool. I could imagine this would be entertaining for kids, so they could check exactly how much longer they must wait for some event they're looking forward to. Like a birthday, Christmas, vacation/holiday trip, or whatever. The batteries are included. Preinstalled, in fact. The CR2032 is a common size, and are easily accessible so battery replacement should be simple. It feels heavy and solid. The quality seems to be excellent. It's wrapped in a small bubble envelope inside a nice box. Well packaged and suitable as a gift. I mentioned its weight, and my only complaint is the magnets are not up to the task of holding it fast to any painted metal surface I tried. It doesn't really fall off, it more so slides down and off the vertical surface. I was going to reduce the rating because of this. However, because it's flat and will stand up by itself, and it comes with a "kickstand" attachment to stand up on a horizontal surface at an angle. And since I am pleased to get something these days that seems to be well manufactured and made with care. So I'm tentatively rating it as 5 stars.

I supposed from the description the market for this is for people pining for retirement, or perhaps counting the days until their Taylor Swift ticket lottery takes place, but it was surprisingly hard to find a smaller countdown clock that included days as well as hours, etc. We are not using this as a retirement countdown, but rather as a "return to privilege" countdown for a teen who has a hard time waiting for video or other privileges to be restored, without asking every ten minutes how long it's going to be until they can do X again, when their electronics are in a timeout. Thus far, it has worked as intended: the countdown clock silently ticks off the time and when asked, we merely point to the clock for our more visually-oriented penitent. He got it fairly fast. The set-up was only slightly awkward (your standard use of four buttons and cycling through options) and as ever the instructions could have been more clear, but once I figured out how to set and reset it, everything was relatively straight forward. It's just the right size that you can mount it with velcro tape to a wall or cabinet (or presumably use stick-on magnets, although I haven't tried that and magnets are always a little fraught with electronics, so buyer beware), and it has a small plastic stand to prop it up on a desk (that will clatter off if you nudge the timer, but which is easily re-attached). This also has what I consider to be a critical feature for countdown clocks: an accurate current time display. Would definitely buy again.

This countdown timer is small, and I wish it were larger for better optical viewing. Another negative to this device is that you must look at it dead on otherwise with this type of display the numbering is skewed. That being said as advertised is what I have received. I attached Velcro to the top of the device so that it would fit nicely under a shelf in my room. I am using this countdown timer as a reminder of my pending college graduation. I am giving this item five stars because what I received is as advertised, and I actually would buy again if I needed it.

A lot smaller then I thought and wish the screen could have some sort of backlight or somehow brighter.

I received a defective product. The product could never start. I also received the worst return pickup service from eCom express. Amazon was prompt to refund the money as they received my return.

The product quality is so bad. Cheaper products being delivered. Genuine ness is compromised. Just on sale to loot people hard earned money.

It is small, but it was identified in the add, so I am not surprised. Will do the job it is intended for. Easy set up! The only thing is that the batteries appears to be low already and will need changing soon.
