Flavor profiles to love and make
This is a wonderful cookbook! So much so that I am wondering if I should go back an order Reems other cookbook. I have 5 ottelenghi books +Falastin, also Shuk and sababa all very good , but this may be my favorite. I have actually only made two recipes : pomegranate molasses and Aleppo roast chicken with spicy sahawiq sauce and the roasted eggplant with vegetables, olives and walnuts over tahini. Amazing!I have most of the book marked for recipes to try and will .Amazon unfortunately did not provide for a preview which caused a pause but was able to find additional info and a table of contents from other sources on line . I was concerned that the book would be heavily tilted toward grains and such but it was not. The book is very balanced and I am excited to also try some of the desserts and my hand at homemade halva / halawehIf you enjoy food from this part of the world this is a great addition to your cookbook collectionGreat writing style, clearly written recipes , I have become a fan of Ms. Kassis and look forward to her next book and will be buying her first soon as well

Great. I wish there were a few more photos.
The challah recipe looks amazing. The dessert section is to die for.

A fusion of flavors hinting other regions, but still remaining authentic
I threw a dinner party taken almost exclusively from “The Arabesque Table” to the delight of the guests. I rarely leave a recipe unaltered, but sampled enough in Reem’s book to know that the combinations are wonderful. Only one recipe failed me out of 12 tried so far (the vegan kibbi) but was still enjoyed as leftovers at breakfast. I am glad I already cook Arab food, learned from my grandfather and his authentic spin—this cookbook is a perfect addition to those family recipes.

Beautiful cover and easy to follow recipes
I love the texture of the cover! The recipes are easy to follow and so far everyone I tried was a success. The ingredients are fairly easy to find. The descriptions are fun to read too.

A must have cookbook
Great recipes and a nicely produced and high quality book. Very well explained recipes and nice personal touches of the stories and inspiration behind each recipe. Not so much a "single meal" type of cookbook, more lots of smaller dishes that can come together to make a feast. Highly recommend.

Refreshing take on Arabic cuisine!!
I was beyond impressed as I explored The Arabesque Table - the stories woven into each recipe, the culinary philosophy behind Reem's narratives, the questions that each page couples with the cooking methods and ingredients were only the beginning. Upon preparing some of the recipes (such as the Muhallabiyeh and Hibiscus Rose Tart), I found them to be very user-friendly especially to a beginner in cooking. As someone with an Arabic ethnic background, a lot of the smells and flavors hit home, albeit with many evolved modern twists that were very much appreciated. An absolute pleasure to indulge in - highly recommend for anyone remotely interested in the foods of the Arab World as we know it!!

The hype did not deliver
I was really excited to get this book, to learn about the cuisine and read the stories. Unfortunately, it was more fusion, and the stories were sort of boring.
