I'm 6'3" and weight 220lbs. My pants waist size in between 34 and 36. These shorts in size large fit me perfectly. (I don't like baggy shorts). Note that I'm tall and they hit on my knee (Thank God! I didn't want to look like Chevy Chase in one of those Lampoon's vacation movies). So, shorter people might find the inseam to be too long.According to the Amazon sizing chart, large corresponds to 36-38 so if you use that chart I would recommend going 1 size up like I did. In the product description there's a different size chart and 34 corresponds to Large, so if you go by that I would say it's true to size unless you want baggy shorts.Also, I would avoid drying them on a dryer machine because they will probably shrink. My only concern is that they're mid weight, so I'm afraid they'll get warm on summer days (which is when I'm planning on wear them). It's like buying a sleeveless sweater. When to wear? Winter or summer? haha

Very comfortable fit. I got the medium size 32-34 waist and so far I like it. Great for workout and casual wear outside. Feels and look like a sweat pants except it's shorts.I like how it looks on me too.

I wanted some every day shorts, now. The women shorts delivery date was 3 weeks away. So, I ordered these men's shorts and they arrived within 2 days. The fit was perfect for me, as I had measured my waist, and ordered accordingly. The quality is excellent. The price was a lot less than the women's shorts, too! They have 3 pockets, which I love. I will order these shorts, from now on. I often find, that men's clothes are made stronger and are sold for a lot less.

This almost got 5 stars! (2020 Edit: I'm giving this 5 stars!)Firstly, the material is very soft so these can be used for comfortably sleeping, lounging, or training. It is mid-weight (not too thin or thick) so it is versatile for any situations - the only time I may prefer a lighter 100% polyester pair of shorts is when I play basketball and jump a lot.Secondly, the fit is perfect. I have a small waist and these don't bunch up at all anywhere when I tighten the drawstring. The leg opening isn't big like basketball shorts but isn't too small - they make my legs look good and I don't have athletic legs.So why not 5 stars? These shorts noticeably shrunk about 1.5-2 inches in the wash. Don't believe the reviewers that say these 55%-cotton shorts don't shrink - I purchased 4 pairs, washed 2, and compared lengths on all of them. However, this could be a good or bad thing. It's bad because I was hoping for .75 to 1 more inch to cover my skinny legs. But they're good because they don't hit my knees when I work out, walk, or hike - you'll feel this more with shorts like these that aren't super lightweight like 100% polyester ones. For your reference, I'm 5' 9.5" and these ride up about an inch above my knee cap. I think the length is completely one's preference and I believe these will look good on most people.I'm keeping them because they're so nice and they still look great on me.2020 EDIT: I've worn these shorts for a year and a half and I like the length of the heather oatmeal shorts! Surprisingly, this color shrunk the most and I prefer the length above the kneecap. The two melange colors I got didn't shrink as much and they are at my kneecap level. I don't like the longer look anymore (I'm in my mid 30s) so above the knees are best for me. The heather oatmeal pair is slightly shorter than the other ones I purchased.

Update:After the first wash you can tell these are cheap clothing material because the fuzzy beads appeared after I washed them for the first time. They now look like I got them from the thrift store. They will get used for PJ shorts but not worth the money (22$)if you ask me. Go with the more expensivr branded ones that will last.1st impression out of the package:They fit somewhat bigger than i thought they would but that is okay! I am a muscular 165 5'7" with big legs and butt. They are very very soft and look great! I bought the Worn gray look and they don't look as worn as the picture which is good (They will be). Soft fleece lining, great lounging shorts and maybe the gym! They are lightweight enough and not thick and hot feeling. I have a pair of under armour fleece shorts that cost 2x as much. I like them just as much as far as feel goes!
