GHIRARDELLI Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix, 10.5 OZ Bag (Pack of 6)

I love this stuff - use it as a reward when I feel I deserve something special. They advise using it with hot milk which is very good. Also (with a bit of vigorous stirring) you can use it with cold milk to make a great chocolate milk treat. But I find I also enjoy it just added to hot water. In any case, this is very tasty stuff and I recommend it.

I originally got the package of GHIRARDELLI Mocha Hot Cocoa Mix, 10.5 oz Bag (6 bags) to give as Christmas Stocking Stuffers. I tried some and I liked it so much I decided to keep two of the multiple serve bags for myself. One think I like about this is the fact that I can adjust the strength get it just right. I usually mix the powder with half and half instead of milk to give it a creamier flavor. I will be buying some more when I use up the packages I have. It has a mild moca flavor that doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavor and I think it’s a good combination. I picked this because it isn’t filled with chemicals and preservatives like some other popular brands. Read the ingredients list before buying hot chocolate and you might be surprised to see the list of chemicals some companies put in their product.This one is a keeper.

This stuff is delicious and very chocolaty! Whether for making hot chocolate or regular chocolate mile, it mixes easily and tastes delicious!!!

Every winter I love to have a big cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows ! I only use Ghirardelli double chocolate for my hot chocolate. I have tried other chocolates but for me it’s only Ghirardelli. Also good value for the money.

As to the flavor my wife and I love Ghirardelli mocha. It is sweet enough that when I add it to coffee there is no need to add any other sweeteners such as sugar, but the sweetness is not overpowering. I like only a little sweetness in my coffee so this works perfectly for me. If you need more sweetness just add some sugar. I have used this product for years and never been disappointed. To my taste buds, the flavor remains consistent over the years, too.As much as I like coffee I have had a long time preference for the mocha flavor over plain coffee, and the Ghirardelli has been my favorite as it seems the best blend of chocolate and coffee flavor. I tried just putting chocolate (cocoa) powder to coffee but it made the coffee taste more like candy than coffee. The Ghirardelli allows the original coffee flavor to come through.I deducted one star because I think that the value to price is diminishing due to the significant increases in pricing over the past year. If the price keeps going up I fear I may be priced out of continuing to use this great product. So far, I can get approximately a month from 6 packets in around 3 cups of coffee per day. though your mileage may vary depending on how much you prefer to add to your coffee. I suggest that if you can, buy the 6 packet product over individual packets since it is much more cost effective.For the record, while I use this in coffee, you certainly can keep it simple by using it in hot milk, hot water, etc.
