Q: What are the i2c addresses? can they be changed? how many can you run on 1 i2c buss?

According to the datasheet for the OLED display driver, the slave address can either be 0b0111100 (0x3C), or 0b0111101 (0x3D). From documentation: "... “SA0” bit provides an extension bit for the slave address. Either “0111100” or “0111101”, can be selected as the slave address of SSD1306."

Q: can picaxe microcontroller drive this model?

It is theoretically possible. But DSD TECH does not provide demo code. Please buy with caution.

Q: Do I need to use i2c pull up resistors?

Didn't need them on the displays I purchased.
