The Unofficial Gamer's Adventure Series Box Set: Six Thrilling Stories for Minecrafters

This is our second 6 book set from this author for Minecraft stories. My 6 year old always says “just one more chapter” each night as I’m reading. He can even read a lot of it on his own (at age 6). He’s learning a lot of new words from it as well (think my favorite was his quote to his teacher about how when the sun goes down it’s dusk, since they talk about hostile mobs coming out after dusk in the books).

My Son is 8 years old. These books are easy for him to read. They are great for stubborn readers who love Minecraft! my son hates to read but was excited to get through one and on to the next book. These are also worth 3 Accelerated Reader (AR) Points. The books are much shorter than some AR books with the same point value. I highly recommend these books, even if for that purpose alone. My son gets easily distracted by pictures in books. There's very few pictures in the Minecraft books so that helps him to get through the books quickly with fewer distractions.

If you have a child that loves Minecraft, they will really enjoy this series of books. My child and I read several chapters together every night. Each book is numbered and should be read in order, as the story progresses from one book to the next. As an adult who does not love Minecraft but is familiar with it, I find the stories to be a little boring. My child, however, loves the stories and relates to the adventures the characters have. This boxed set makes a very nice gift. I do recommend the set for anyone who likes Minecraft.

I got these for my minecraft obsessed boys, but they're agonizing to read (as a parent reading these as bedtime stories to young kids). Their only novelty is that they talk about things my kids recognize from playing minecraft. Instead of cool stories that happen in the minecraft universe, these read more like someone telling you what they did in minecraft one day. My 6 and 7 year old have no clue what is going on in the storyline. My 11 year old gets bored with it because, as he put it: "The whole thing is just 'this guy says this, that girl says that, so this guy does this.'"

It's hard to get kids reading. It's doubly hard when a child has a attention problem like ADHD. My son, who is almost 9, has had his face buried in these books since getting them for Christmas. Engaging stories encompassing a topic all the kids are obsessed with these days... Minecraft! So glad I got these books, it got my son off of Minecraft and got him reading and re-reading these fun stories.

My daughter is obsessed with minecraft and we saw this at a large well known bookstore for almost double the price as I paid on amazon. I convinced my daughter to use her gift card on amazon to purchase this and wait the 2 days for shipping rather than waste money for instant gratification. She was glad she did and has really enjoyed reading this books.

This was the first time I bought this series box set. Glad that I did. My kids love it. They went through the books in two days. Had me get another series as well. Highly recommend it.

My son (age 9) was a reluctant reader who loved Minecraft. He read through this box set in one week on vacation and now is much more cooperative about reading other less preferred books as well. Was a great launching pad into the world of reading for him.
