Written in 6 languages
Although this is a very large book which is beautifully illustrated it is written in 6 languages, so a lot if space is taken up with unhelpful text. This results in the content being substantially less than anticipated.

Very informative, even for someone who already knows a lot about Art Nouveau.
Bought this as a Christmas gift for my best friend who loves Art Nouveau. She found a new artist she wants explore further, learned more about her favorite architect of the period and more. She was very happy with the book.

Love it
The books it’s quite big! I was expecting a small book but it’s huge and heavy, I like the illustration.

A treasure trove of Art Nouveau.
An oversize book of color photos which show the Art Nouveau style in architecture, interiors, furniture, paintings, and objects. A wonderful look into a vanished era of beautiful design and art. Highly recommended.

NOT About Art Nouveau Architecture
I really looked forward to receiving "Art Nouveau: Paris, Bruxelles, Barcelona (World Architecture)". As a licensed and registered (NY for about 30 years, now retied) architect, I have never been very impressed with any periods or fashions of architecture, excepting Art Nouveau. There have been a few individual architects (FLW, Saarinen, Le Corbusier and of course Gaudi) that I have thought sometimes flew above the cesspool of ordinary - well, you know what cesspools are full of. Although I have searched in vain, I have never found a good book on Gaudi. Thus, I had high hopes for this book. It's a nice book, it has nice large photos of furniture and lamps and artwork including graphics - all dually art nouveau-ish. But it certainly does NOT concentrate on art nouveau architecture. It does feature a few art nouveau architectural projects but they are perhaps only 15 to 20% of this book. Disappointing! The best thing I can say about this book is that I still have not found a good book on Gaudi; plus this is not a good book on art nouveau architecture; but it would be a great paper-weight, if you need a paper-weight. Back it goes to Amazon.
