This necklace came in a little felt gift bag, with the pendant and chain separated. The chain is waxed leather with a very unusual type clasp which has a male end that inserts into the female end, clicks with a spring to initiate the clasp, and then locks when you twist it. To unclasp them, you must push them together again to activate the spring, and then twist to unlock them from each other. It was a bit tricky at first, but once I got the hang of how it worked, I realized this is probably one of the best clasp designs I've ever seen. It's super easy to use with no fumbles, but just as equally super difficult to pull apart on accident. I should note this is a VERY short chain, BUT fortunately, it isn't too short for my neck, and I have a large neck that often is too thick for many short chains. The pendant is pretty standard, and all I can think to note about it is that it is well glued within the frame, without any bits of glue being visible - exactly as these style pendants should be.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and impressed I got such excellent quality for its price. I really needed some ukanite (it chose me), and I really didn't want to spend much on it since I don't know if I'm going to be wearing it long-term, or just need it for the short-term, and it's not one of my "regular" stones that I wear all the time. Other necklace prices made me cringe because they weren't even stainless steel but plated. I was not looking for a necklace that I would only wear every once in a while or have to constantly take off to avoid it getting completely ruined. This simple pendant design is perfect!

I've seen answers about what material that have ranged from "nah, it's glass" to yes, it's a genuine quartz crystal". I've received mine and without going to an expert, I'm suspicious. It's pretty, but the edges are soft and rounded, not like any quartz pieces I've had before. Also, the light diffraction through it is much weaker than other pieces of quartz that others I've had.So, not being an expert, I don't know. I may get it checked out as I am using it to deflect the all the good luck from rushing up the stairs in our house since they are right in front of the front entry door. Lore has it (and Fung Shui) you shouldn't have the front door pointed right at the stairway. To counteract all the good luck from rushing upstairs, one places a crystal dangling from the ceiling or chandelier between the stairs and the door and it will keep the balance of all the luck on both floors. The stone is essentially fine, though it's almost certainly black glass - rather than black agate.Many other reviews have noted, and I will too: the cord reeks. It has a strong chemical / gasoline smell, so intense anyone in the near vicinity can smell it. The smell lingers on hands and neck after putting the cord on. It basically can't be worn; it's the kind of smell that will trigger headaches / nauseau. Yes, it's really that bad.I reached out to the seller and they responded it was the smell of leather on the cord. It's absolutely not a leather smell (I know what that is), it's an acrid, chemical reek. The offer to replace the cord with a chain, which would take 4 weeks to arrive. What a waste of time - bad customer service, bad product. Avoid.Had to pitch the necklace, out my $7, and learned my lesson.

First things first, I absolutely love my sodalite. If that was all I was reviewing, it would hands down be a 5 star review! I love it! However, shortly after putting the necklace on, I began noticing a smell and it seemed to be coming from me! I couldn't figure out what it was but my sinuses and allergies went crazy. On the third day I noticed mold on the leather cord!!! I contacted the seller about it and was told that it is new leather and new leather has a smell. Yes, I am quite familiar with the smell of leather both new and old, but there is MOLD on the leather cord! I sent another message and repeated that there was mold, but haven't received a response so I figured it was time to go ahead and do my review.The sodalite is beautiful and perfect and I have benefitted greatly from it. I recommend ordering one, but just watch out for the cord.

Very nice crystal. The color is perfect. The shape is perfect. The silver part that holds a stone is as pictured. Some other crystals have this part more round and this one is more like triangle. I ordered amethyst.

It was glass, just glass. It was no where near Quartz, just glass. . Disappointed. Returning

Beautiful! Definitely real quartz, you can test by looking at some printed writing through a flat side: a real quartz will not magnify the writing, a glass one will. It's beatufully mounted too, straight and no glue anywhere it shouldn't be. The thing is, the cord is awful, it has this odd metal tube clasp that didn't open for me, just came off the cord, and the cord is v stiff and doesn't hang well. I looked at previous reviews and knew this going in - I intend to use this for other purposes without the cord. It's a gorgeous pendant, should be sold without the cord as it's crap. Comes in a nice cloth bag too. Still good value, you know you're getting a real crystal in a quality setting. A mystery why the crap cord.

Cute necklace. I ordered the rainbow fluorite. The stone doesn’t look quite like the one advertised but all stones have variation, and I’m happy with mine. It’s very pretty. The leather cord is a little too waxy for my taste, but I purchased this necklace for casual wear, not for everyday wear. I haven’t had any issues with the cord clasp. I have a thick neck and was expecting this to be more of a choker fit, but it does have some “hang” to it, so it is a nice fit between a choker and a longer necklace. The necklace also comes with a small velvet bag for storing the necklace, which I think is awesome. It will protect the stone from chipping and the cord from tangling. I’m happy with its quality for the amount I paid.

Great... was a present. The receiver thought it was amethyst as it was totally purple 💜 So be aware comes in different colours. I am not convinced this is not organically grown for the price. Manufactured crystals do not have the same vibration as organically grown crystals.

The loop on the pendant wasn’t big enough to get the catch on the lace through so had to open it up more. Apart from that it’s beautiful

The pendant is lovely and I am still using it but I wasn’t impressed to find the leather knecklace had broken after just a week of having it. I was lucky to find the pendant as I had realise it had snapped

Great pendant and just as described, only downside was that they take a long time to arrive by which time I’d forgotten about them

Lovely stone, replaces the one we got on holiday , but some how has got lost. My son was so pleased when I gave it to him, didn’t have to travel back to Cyprus either
