This is a great little reference book. It's a great overview for those new to GDPR and also a good pocket guide/desk reference for those who are familiar but have lingering questions. It won't go into great detail on specific/practical issues you might encounter, but it gets you on the right track to find answers for your particular situation. Having read quite a few of the primers, this is the one I would most likely recommend to others.

For someone without a clue about data privacy law and GDPR, Kennedy does a fantastic job at explaining how it works so that I could understand how applicable it is in our world today. The chapters are manageable and yet thorough enough that it made the read quite worth my time. I highly recommend this book whether you are new to data security or have been working in this field for years. A book for future generations to pay heed to.

This book is highly useful and is an excellent summary of a very complex topic, presented in a clear, straight forward and understandable way. It provides many practical tips which have been very helpful as we build our compliance program within our company. I recommend any professional to pick up a copy of this book if their company is subject to the GDPR and in need of compliance.

Not worth the money spent. The book could have been written better and provides too shallow of a review of GDPR.

If your organization needs to comply with the GDPR, then hopefully you have already started putting procedures in place. This book untangles the convoluted aspects of the GDPR and lays out a very clear path to help organizations achieve compliance. Although compliance efforts can sometimes be very costly, this book provides “quick tips” that provide organizations with cost-effective ways to jumpstart their compliance efforts. All in all, I found this book answered all the main looming questions I had concerning the GDPR and its answers were tremendous during the implementation process. I highly encourage any organization seeking a comprehensive guide to comply with the GDPR to buy this book. This book is clear, concise, and wraps practical tips throughout the process allowing for compliance with the GDPR to become reasonable.

After buying and reading through multiple books on the GDPR, I can confidently say that this book finally answered the many looming questions I had concerning the GDPR.
