Excellent Einhell Salt Speader
Good solution for spreading salt during the colder days of winter, having been using this einhell spreader for a couple of years now for a quicker way of de-icing the driveway, less time outside during those colder days the better.Find using dishwasher salt granuals works best and even on the lower settings get good directional coverage without using too much salt, when done I then use the einhell battery leaf blower to clear any salt dust within the spreader, if you find it does clog then a little tap and a larger setting soon clears any salt blocking the spreader area and it is back working fine, for a 30 meter driveway it only takes a few minutes to spread salt and a very small amount of battery use, certainly a worthwhile investment for the shorter colder days of the year.

Powerful, Adjustable, and No Annoying Buildup
I've previously used a basic manual spreader from a local DIY shop and the Scotts Wizz Hand-held spreader, which is battery-powered but inconveniently requires 4 AAA batteries. The most significant improvement with the Einhell spreader is that it doesn't suffer from material buildup in the chamber. A major flaw with many handheld spreaders is that the material being dispersed tends to accumulate behind the rotating mechanism. If you tilt the spreader even slightly, this collected material can suddenly dump in one spot. This was a persistent and frustrating issue for me, particularly when applying fertilizer.Thankfully, the Einhell spreader completely avoids this problem, distributing all the material evenly without any annoying buildup in the chamber. I love it, and this feature alone would have convinced me to purchase it.The ability to adjust the spreading speed, aperture size, and even the spreading angle simultaneously is fantastic. At its highest setting, this spreader can cast materials significantly further than any of my previous spreaders, including the Scotts Wizz. I often found the Scotts Wizz would jam or struggle to spread when the container was full, and sometimes its trigger would get stuck in the open position. Thanks to its powerful 18V battery, the Einhell doesn't experience these issues, delivering incredibly good spreading performance.I use an Einhell PXC Plus 4Ah battery, which has a slimmer profile than the previous generation (making a 4Ah battery the same size as an older 2.5Ah one), and it seems to last an eternity with this spreader. While the spreader is a bit on the heavier side with the battery attached, this becomes negligible once you've loaded it with 3kg of material. The size is very suitable with a maximum material weight probably around 3-3.5 kg.Another plus is that the spreader requires no assembly; it's ready to use straight out of the box. Just attach a battery, and you're good to go.Priced around £30-£35, this spreader offers incredible value for money, especially if you already own Einhell batteries.

It’s so much easier this way.
It’s maybe a little expensive but it’s worth the money. The seed distribution was even, no more clumps of seeds on the lawn, and it was quick and efficient. Therefore, I would recommend it to my friends.

Well built and a good buy
For the size of my garden this was a little of an overkill but nevertheless it made spreading fertiliser and seeds that much easier. Very well built and happy with the purchase

Works well.
Works well, lots of adjustments available for different spreadable products, so much easier and more precise than hand spreading. Recommended if, like me, you already have Einhell tools you can share a battery with.

Breakthrough product
If like me you apply granular fertilisers and mosskillers to your lawn then this Einhell device is a game-changer.Previously I've struggled with manual spreader carts because:# difficult to control the flow of granules and at the end of a row or on a corner they might dump a load of material which will kill off the grass for the rest of the season# they drop no granules on the ground that the spreader wheels roll over# hard to reach nooks and crannies of the lawn# prone to clog up.With this battery powered Einhell machine you can easily control the amount of granules that you spray onto the grass. There's a degree of trial and error in deciding how quickly and how widely you want the granules to be sprayed so best to start with a test on a few square meters of lawn. Once I got the hang of it I was able to spread about 15kg of feeder granules over 800 sq m of lawn in less than half an hour. Please note that the spreader and the rechargeable battery that powers it are sold separately so you're ordering not one but two products from Amazon.FOOTNOTE After two years I've had to replace this machine because it became irretrievably clogged up. The lesson is, clean thoroughly after each use and store in a dry place so that any residual lawn feed doesn't solidify in the workings.
