Pretty useless.
The length is very short and it doesn't do much to quiet the exhaust down.

Quieted my Ram 2500 Hemi back to stock, but feels laggy
I installed a Flowmaster FX system on my 12 Ram 2500, it sounds great at idle and when you stomp on the gas, but was too loud in the neighborhood early in the morning, and had a loud drone at 1800 rpm. I installed this silencer in the tailpipe tip. It made the truck sound like stock at low rpms and driving around the block speeds , but definitely had a big effect on hard acceleration and made a horrible raspy sound as almost 400hp tried to squeeze through a 1.25” pipeI’m going to take it off and try a Vibrant ultra quiet resonator

Actually works to reduce sound
While not a magic bullet, its the only tailpipe insert I've tried that actually reduces sound. I Did the math, I have four 3 inch exhaust tips coming off a system designed for dual 2.5 inch OD piping. I replaced with a 3 inch exhaust (v10 - 2 thee inch pipes split to 4 "mufflers" - quotes because they dont actually do anything) while this system is probably not the best for flow speed, I don't think it will increase backpressure in a meaningful way. At least I can drive the car now.

Is short, jammed it way inside the muffler.
Fits perfectly, but the pipe is short so I jammed it way inside.No screws, saw pictures and i don't like or want that spike look on my cheezy chrome muffler. Got it welded.✌Peace.

Measurements are way off!
It says 3” diameter however is more like 2.5”

Shhhhhhhhhh. It worked!
Install was easy....reduced the drone of my sport muffler considerably... now I can hear my radio on low volume vs full blast... and my wife cannot hear me pulling into the driveway in the wee hours of the morning...

Didn't quiet the exhaust as much as I had hoped
Bought this because it's the only 3" silencer I could find. It fit loosely, and I had to put a section of 3" OD pipe in the tip first, and then this inside it. Part of it has a rough, scalloped edge. It did quiet the exhaust, but not as much as I thought it would based on past experience. I'm guessing it's because the section of 1" pipe that goes into the muffler isn't very long.
