This is the timer I grew up with. I purchased one of those digital timers and it is now at the city dump. For those of you that are having problems with this timer, READ THE DIRECTIONS! Turn the timer all the way till it stops, and then back it to the time you need. It is very easy to do. Perhaps it is because I used this type of timer from my early days (60s) but it works and it works well. Yes, it will only do an hour at a time, but it is much more trustworthy than the newer ones. I used a digital one and after a year, it wouldn't do anything but tell me the time - the timer stopped working all together. This one is tried and true.

So many of my timers kept time poorly or barely rung. REMEMBER to turn dial all the way back to set time and then you ll be golden. Fun, retro look. Accurate time keeper, rings loud and long with a pretty tone. Highly recommended.

As best I can tell seems like a scam product. Some cheap trinket designed to try to make money inappropriately. There is a bell in it so that the vendor can say it has a bell. I can tell when I shake it. The bell does not work at all. The product looks extremely cheaply made. A complete waste of my time. I think Amazon uses it's customer base to do quality control on products which I am not happy about. So the seconds click off then nothing happens. So, I am returning it. I have also learned that I think vendors change their names when they get bad product reviews and sell it under a different name. I won't buy anything that even looks like this. Yes, some things require going to the store to make sure they work. So, Amazon I am getting trained not to buy through the web site but go to the store instead to make sure the product works. You (Amazon) really need more quality control then this. Don't bother buying this product.

it is well made. firm winder.It is funny, but my pomeranian brks at it every time i pick it up to time something. Can,t stop her from barking at it.The ring is loud enough.

You have to turn the timer all the way to 60 and then back to the time you want it for. Otherwise, the alarm doesn’t ring.

I love this item, but it could ring louder and longer.

Seems like a good timer......but..........I find the necessity to activate it cumbersome. One has to wind it forward to around 55 and then wind it back to the number of minutes one wants. I have other timers that I have to simply wind once to the number of minutes I need.

Works exactly as intended. If you receive this and turn the dial to 1 minute just to hear it and it doesn't make noise like I did its because the farther you wind it the louder it will be when it goes off.
