Works Fantastic!
Before installing this, I was dropping my chain multiple times consistently on a 20 mile route. Since installing this, I've done 70 miles and my chain stays right where it belongs! I installed this on a Turbo Creo eBike. The horizontal and vertical adjustments were sufficient to place the chain guide exactly where it needs to be positioned.I read through some of the negative reviews. It seems to me that some consumers were simply careless with the installation. 1. If the clamp is not sufficiently closed around the seat-stay, then the Allen bolt is not going to be inserted directly into the threads. If you force the bolt under this condition you will strip the threads! Back the bolt out, tighten the clamp and reinsert the bolt. It should thread smoothly. Do not force it! 2. The lower part of this assembly is plastic. That's fine. This means that if this becomes misaligned you may lose a $20 chain watcher, not your $60 chain. You can make it back without the former. But you need the latter! Anyway, it's plastic. Keep that in mind when you are tightening this down and you'll be fine. It's great! It's doing exactly what I need it to do. I couldn't be happier!

holds chain on my ebike
i installed a toseven dm01 motor on my mtb with a 1x12 speed rear cassette. my mtb has boost spacing soi had to offset the motor which negatively affected the chainline. my chain was coming off the front chainring when on the biggest rear cog. so far, this device has eliminated that problem and it feels very sturdy once installed.

Works beautiful on Homebuilt E bike
I installed this on a trek mountain bike. The bike has been turned into an E bike and so the chain line is off a little bit. This takes care of any issue on the front chain ring. Would highly recommend if you’ve built your own E bike.

If you have a single bafang m625 installed with a single chainring. Get this guard!
The media could not be loaded. Install it correctly and don't over tighten the screws and it should work just fine. This keeps my chain from jumping off the chainring. Because of such a long crossover to the last two bigger cogs. Now I can use the 2nd and 1st gear on my bike when I need to. Even though on the 1st gear in the back (largest cog) tries to jump off the chainring. This guard keeps that from happening. The key is to lower the guard as close to the top of the chain on the chainring as close as possible without it rubbing. Note, some people complained about the guard itself being ABS plastic. I considered this before I made this purchase. But concluded that it's probably a good thing that he guard itself is plastic to reduce the wear and tear on the chain when the chain tries to jump off the chainring and gets knocked back down by the guard. That's probably why it's plastic. The manufacturers must've had this in mind. Also, before I bought this guard I measured the gap between the frame tube and the side of the chain and it measured 1.75" across. So, if your gap is that wide you can mount this and properly center this chainring guard. However, the adjusting rod will be at it's limit. with less than 1mm perturbing out the side of the adjustment hole.

Life Saver: No more falls due to stuck chain.
Oct 2023 one year update:My 8-year-old son rides his bike offroad over bumps and grass. His chain was coming off or getting stuck several times a day; these issues were leading to his falling. Since I installed this chain guide, in the past year, the bike chain has not come off or gotten stuck. He also has not fallen due to any chain issues. It is now rare for him to fall. It's been a true lifesaver. The build quality is decent. Avoid over-tightening the screws or you may strip them.
