Seeing Japan

This was a Christmas present for my cousin who is planning a trip to Japan in 2022. He absolutely loved the book. The photography in the book was gorgeous. It made for a perfect gift.

I bought this for my son who has been learning Japanese since 2009. This book is full of wonderful, colorful & breathtaking photos of Japan! He loved it & it continues to be one of his favorites. It has been helping him plan his trip (3 years into the making) to See Japan very soon! If you enjoy beautiful photos of this amazing place ... this book is for you!

The content of the book is excellent. The cover looks like it has been in and out of a library 50 times. I thought it was supposed to be a "new" item? This was supposed to sit on my coffee table. Not!

Way to go. I am glad to see a sweeping overview of everything to do with the breathtaking beauty of my favorite island. Region by region, city by city, building by building, landmark by landmark, and a lot of lovely photos of natural beauty make this one a pleasure to see. And the accompanying text is not too dry or boring. Great book.

Bought it for my friend who visited Japan. She couldn't find a coffee table book with pictures in it anywhere. She loved it.

The Japan is neat in this book. I think it's well presented and has some highlights to tour this way.

I agree with the other two reviewers. This is an excellent book with stunning photographs. I bought a used copy and was delighted with the condition of the item and with the book itself. I suppose the only small gripe I have is the quality of the paper the pictures are amazing but look a little flat due to the matte finish. Apart from that small niggle I love the book.

The magical colours of the far Eastern archipelago are breath-taking. Text explains the pictures and their significance. This book also touches on climate, history, unique arts (like sumo wrestling) and food (like sushi). A great window to this technologically advanced nation of islands.
