Masters of Horror: Deer Woman

I have the movie 4 stars simply because I read the description and it said Jon Tenney was in it but they were talking about Homecoming I didn't notice it until after I got i just wished he was in her too, it was sad cause I looked it up on Google and it said he was in it, but again they were explaining Homecoming. Good weird movie with a twist

This is the only entry to the Masters of Horror series I actually enjoyed (the others largely left me feeling flat for not having much actual horror impact or nauseated for relying too much on grotesque or gory imagery). There's just something about the absurdist approach to the absurd premise that appeals to me that I never fail to enjoy watching this short piece and honestly wishing to see more adventures of the protagonist dealing with the strange and unusual (rather like the less serious episodes of the X-Files).

A very good looking woman who is also a deer kills men. Thats is it. We never see her kill them only what is left of them after she does. That is it. My problem with this and all these Masters of Horror movies are that they are only a hour long. It is hard to get a good story line going in one hour.

THIS LITTLE COMEDIC/HORROR GEM SHOULD BE WATCHED BY ANYONE WHO ENJOYED "AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" OR SOME OF THE TONGUE-IN-CHEEK "X-FILES" EPISODES (WHICH IS ALMOST WHAT THIS WAS INTENDED TO ORIGINALLY BE 'I BELIEVE'.) HIGHLY RECOMMMENDED!

Not my favorite in the series. But still worth a watch. In my opinion Imprint and Cigarette burns are the highlights of the two years this aired. But you have to see them all. So give this a try.

I give this movie this rating because it was not as good as I thought it would be. I wouldn't recommend it.

I had never seen this movie but kept coming across these weird movie scenes during my research into the Native American legend of the Deer Woman. The movie showed them to be the nightmare images ( the CORN ) of the traumatized detective called to the scene of a horrific animal attack! As the large male corpses pile up at the morgue, evidence of sexual arousal at the time they were literally stomped to death, by deer hooves no less, is discovered. The only other clue is the reported appearance of a mysterious, drop-dead-gorgeous babe, leading the victims away with a sly glance and a rack ( the Prime Rib ) that would entice any red-blooded male with or without a few drinks in him. But she's no angel! With a combination of super strength and supernatural powers, this demonic temptress temporarily eludes the detective, having already trampled his partner to a pulp. And just when you think things can't get any weirder, they do!
