Finding larger size sports gear is sometimes hard. I love watersports, am NOT a model, and I needed a suit for possible cooler water exposure while kayaking. It is a simple safety precaution. Following the size per measurement guidelines it fits perfectly. Measure, don't guess. The front entry is such a great improvement over back zippers. This zipper is robust, the material is as expected, the seams well done. It stretches as needed, is cut to allow movement while still maintaining contact and therefore insulation against the cold water. Properly fitted wetsuits are a pain to get into, worse to get out of once the water drains out after a swim. You want close full contact without gaps. It will feel snug at first. The added buoyancy and most important, warmth, extends your water time and extends the water sport season. This suit is an absolute wonder and is affordable for anyone.. It is neoprene and smells like neoprene. The smell fades. It is not a dry suit. It keeps you warm by holding a layer of water between it and your skin. Your body warms the water up and the suit keeps that warm layer next to you. Wear a swim suit as the layer between you and the suit. When you get out of the water, that thin layer of water will drain out creating a suction between you and the suit. Unzip and run your hand between you and the suit to break the suction, it will come off easier. I add this information because I was asked these honest questions and I was once given the answers when it was a new thing for me. I am so glad to have a properly fitting well made suit again.

The first time I tried my new wetsuit on, I couldn't zip it up myself--it felt like it was strangulating my thigh. My husband came to assistance and got it to zip but it was extremely tight. I didn't think it was going to work. Took it off but tried again. This time, it had stretched just enough that I was able to zip it up myself so commenced using it. I swim a straight mile and the water was 77 degrees. Sometimes a bubble would form in the back but it didn't always appear. Probably wore it about 8 or 9 times before the heater was fixed. I actually didn't look bad in it either. I am a 58 yr old female. 5' 6". 133 lbs. Normal build. Ordered the medium which fits well. One caveat: It is extremely difficult to get off. Either I had to find someone to help pull the left sleeve off (I could get the rest) OR I had to work at it for quite a while. Maybe a more flexible person could manage it easier.

I took a chance on this and sized down since I was on the borderline of L and XL according to the chart. My SCUBA shop had me in an XL and I just didn’t like the bagginess in some areas (namely crotch). This is snug around the chest, but not uncomfortable and will loosen in water. It was so much easier to put on with a front zip than the ones that zip up the back. It was tricky to take off by myself, though. Getting that first arm out was tough on my own. Thankfully, we always SCUBA with a buddy so I’ll have someone who can help pull that first sleeve off. It’s a piece of cake after that. Lastly, I really liked the material around the ankles and wrists. It’s slightly smaller for a tight fit and will help to minimize water movement in and out of the suit, making for a warmer dive. This chilly girl loves that. I’m taking off one star because it was packaged in a clear plastic bag with a shipping label slapped on. The plastic bag was torn before or during shipping and had me worrying that the suit arrived damaged. Thankfully it was okay, but Amazon needs to be less worried about the few extra pennies they save by not using a shipping bag and more concerned about the customer receiving their product intact.

I always panicked when trying to get into a wetsuit of any kind. Especially with a back zipper. This solved that problem for me. As long as I know I can get it off in an instant, I am OK. The fact the zipper runs the entire length from top to bottom of left leg and opens up, was a super bonus for me. Only way to improve this would be a zipper on both sides! Fits great and very bouyant.

Got this for a Triathlon I'm training for and replace a full body suit bought locally but couldn't get it off my legs during transition 1. This new suit isn't quite as warm as that and it feels a tad thinner. It still works well and I have good movement and no chafing yet. I have checked it in the spring melt waters and if it doesn't do well I'll update.As for size. I first ordered a 3xl but that was too baggy and loose. I got the 2xl and it fits well. I'm 6'3" and about 250# I can wear a tri suit or tri shorts and shirt underneath for quicker T1 times. Also the full neck to leg cuff zip works great getting a wet suit off at T1.I recommend this suit.I recommend this for Triathlons.

Purchased for boogieboarding in the frigid Pacific Ocean. In Southern California with water temps in the low 60s, this wetsuit makes staying in the water for 60+ minutes a pleasure!The suit is very easy to put on without any assistance. I get so cold swimming with my kids in the ocean. So I got the one with shorts and short sleeves. The water was 62 the other day and so cold until it reached the suit. Then I just walked right in. I could have stayed in for hours. Thank you for making swimming with my kids more fun!

I bought this to use during my daily lap swimming during the winter months. Our pool is completely outdoors and the water is unheated, so it can get down to 70 degrees, which is too cold for me with just a swimsuit. This certainly does help maintain my core temperature while not being too long in the legs. The zipper opening works very well and it's very easy to get on & off. I purchased a large, which I thought would be right for me. But actually I would use a medium as it would be better if it fit more snugly. So I would recommend buying a little smaller than you normally would as it seems to be cut generously.
