I can't figure out how to use it
This product came highly recommended from a friend who used it to teach all 4 of her boys to read. I bought it on her word, but even after reading and re reading the booklet, I couldn't decipher the order or rhyme or reason for where or what the pages were. I knew there would be some sweat equity with this bundle, but I can't even use it because not all of the activities or games are clearly labeled......we did muffin tops and my daughter loves the game, but I can't figure out what the rest of these activities are. So disappointed!

Worth the time needed to cut out all of the components!
Purchased this as a supplement to my Sonlight curriculum to have more options for reinforcing phonics. I was initially a bit overwhelmed by cutting out all of the various games but they are definite winners with my kids! I intended them mainly for my 6 year old but my 4 year old gravitated to it right away and LOVES playing with the Reading House, flip books, Find the letter, etc. Now that we have really gotten into the program I can say it is a great value, a lot of fun for my kids and teaching the basics of phonics relatively painlessly!

Absolutely wonderful!
I can't say enough good things about this reading program! Our oldest son was a struggling reader with ADHD and dyslexia when I found Mrs. Hopkins' website and Happy Phonics. Her encouragement about home education and the fact that she had developed this program to help her own struggling reader gave me hope. Not only did the program help me teach my son to be a great reader, it changed the way he viewed learning and how I developed as a teacher. Since then 6 of our kids have become avid bookworms with this program and our youngest, now 5, is excited each day to play the phonics games and practice reading skills. His older siblings enjoy playing the games with him even though there's a bit of an age gap. They fondly recall when they were learning to read. For extra practice we've used BOB books, Abeka K4 and K5 reader books, Abeka Letters and Sounds K5 workbook, and Christian Liberty Nature Readers. In 22 years of home education Happy Phonics is my favorite resource. Our struggling oldest son? He's now a senior in college getting straight A's earning a computer programming degree with a cyber security focus. His twin sister has already graduated a semester early at the top of her class. I'm so grateful that Happy Phonics got them off to a great start.

One of my top 3 favorite curriculums!
I have been home schooling for 22 years. I taught all five of my kids to read using Happy Phonics. My oldest is gifted (only missed 2 on the SAT) and I have three with ADHD. It has worked on the full range of learners in my home. What I love about this program is that children love to learn through games - it's a natural learning modality. My children learned to love reading specifically because it was special game time one-on-one with Mom thanks to Happy Phonics. It was easy for me to teach because I could literally read the short instructions for the teacher as I was calling my child over. My now young adult children still smile when we mention the "e tree" game or the "reading house." This is one curriculum I have recommended to everyone who is embarking on the fulfilling journey of teaching their child to read.
