Reflective Trailer Hitch Cover Plug Insert (Fits 2" Receivers, Thin Red Line)

1.25" shoppers: if you got to this item through the 2" product-page, and if the reflective feature is important to you - be aware that the smaller, 1.25" is, unfortunately, NOT reflective. I missed that difference in the description when I switched to the 1.25 version of the product. Very disappointed & I think the seller owes it to customers to be more up-front & obvious about that. The sizing is very good, though. It fits very snugly into the receiver & I have no doubt it will remain permanently secure. Recent purchase, so I don't know about its long term durability.

I needed to plug the hitch on my new truck to keep out road salt and grime. What better way to do that than with a hitch plug that fits perfectly and also represents the career I chose for 25 years (now retired). The Thin Blue Line is in my blood and I'm not afraid to display that with this plug. While it fits well, still worried about the durability of this when I have to remove and install it repeatedly when towing. Not sure how well it will hold up.

Very nice product, the plastic is sturdy and the fit is snug. Unlike cheaper products, this cover protects the emblem with a urethane membrane that should keep the cover from fading. Yellowing may still occur as with most urethane coverings, but that should take years to happen and by then simply replace it with a new one.

Great product! Fit perfectly in my 2 inch by 2 inch Curt trailer hitch that I bought off of amazon. Product looks great, plastic is very hard and the rubber is a good quality. Coating of emblem is very nice, not sure how long it will last or if it will get cloudy or not. Right now though I've had it for a couple of weeks and still looks new!

From the moment I received it, the "carbon fiber" square was peeling off from one corner/side. The plug fit the receiver well - very snug, won't fall out, but after only 2 weeks the square insert is now half unglued and sprung away from the plastic plug. It looks like the plug face is not flat, so there is no way that the insert will stay glued down because it is basically under tension to pull away.

I had this for just under two years. It faded to a complete white color in less than that time. I should have removed it earlier, but got lazy.

It fits well, but the thin blue line showed signs of peeling off right away. It’s still on there but you can see that the edges are already starting to peel and it’s only been a couple weeks.

There was never going to be a middle ground. This was either going to fall out on the bumpy Vermont dirt roads or not. Well, not it is. Just about a year later and it is still in place.
