The Active Side of Infinity: Carlos Castaneda's Final Work on Don Juan's Teachings and Life After Death

I have read and enjoyed all of the books written by Carlos Castaneda, with the exception of The Second Ring of Power. However, for the first time, in his book The Active Side of Infinity, I felt that Carlos Castaneda was revealing more about himself, than he had ever done in any of his previous works. I found this book to be an excellent synopsis of his life both before his apprenticeship and during his apprenticeship with don Juan. If you, like me, have been bedazzled by all of the information contained in his earlier works, you will find this a marvellous book for consolidating much of the information that you have read but not truly internalised.

All his books are well written. Whether you believe they are accurate accounts of his life are up to you, but they make you think.

Another masterpiece by castanada

I have read many of the Castaneda books and enjoy their dark blend of humor and mystery. Was Don Juan a real person or one that was invented?

My background of 35 years of practicing the Gurdjieff Ouspensky esoteric teaching does qualify me to finally say that this teaching is real. Are you ready?

I haven't read all of Castaneda's books. But I was curious what his last book had to say. The main intriguing message to me was the bit about the fliers, shadow beings mostly invisible to humans, responsible for most of human conflict. The only suggestion to be able to resist their influence is to develop self discipline

A book I read years ago & one of the few that I have enjoyed for a second time rereading.

in comparison to the earlier books of Dr. Castaneda this one is a true gift. The genius is hidden in his remarkable and impeccable way of fearlessly describing his own process of becoming aware of his patterns... and just being true to himself. His stories contain the humor and courage of someone getting rid of his ego.
