It reads as a literary phenomena ; it touches the reader to feel core values and emotions through his music . Mr. HAMILTON threads a musical motif of love by sharing his spiritual journey with the reader. I was mesmerized by this treasure.☆☆☆☆☆ Excellent! Loved it! Encouraging! Inspirational!

Anyone that knows me understands that I am more than just an AVID reader I'm obsessed with reading anything I can get my hands on. I've been this way since I was introduced to the love of books way back in the 1st grade at Beverly Woods Elementary School. Initially I purchased the book because I wanted to support a fellow Charlottean and because my mantra has and always will be support breeds support I wanted to get my copy of a hometown boy that evolved into a successful man in his chosen profession. When I opened the book I don't quite know what I expected but what I received was well beyond my wildest expectations. Anthony did something that I find to be a gift and something that is rare to find in writing. Instead of giving us a glossed over glimpse of a well-tailored public image of himself, he actually allowed his vulnerability and his truth to shine through the written words of his pen. As he told us of his journey, his insecurities and the mistakes that he has made it allowed us to see a glimpse into the soul of the man that I can gladly say is from my hometown. Now more than ever the lyrics to his songs not only paint a poignant picture of the genius behind the music but I now have an even better appreciation for the man that he grew to be. I highly recommend this read for anyone that wants to see what being from the south is really about. I recommend this read for anyone that wants to take a glimpse into the past and have a clear understanding of what the cohesiveness of family used to be about. If you want to see how a village came together and birthed the seeds that were sown and eventually sprouted into the man the world knows as Anthony Hamilton, reading this book will give you that and more. Mr. Hamilton took a pen and effortlessly created such vivid imagery with his words that I felt as if I was a voyeur on his road to greatness. GREAT JOB!!!! If could give more than 5 stars I surely would.

Very insightful outlook at all of my favorite songs. I loved how he gave us a look inside the meaning of Cornbread Fish and Collard Greens. It was a great read and I love the recipes and exclusive photos...

I really enjoyed the descriptive to every song. Heart in everything, words of encouragement, motivation. The messages that you're not alone, each one reach one and to care for and respect one another no matter the age. There's our hope. We are the hope for tomorrow. I feel you are definitely living in your purpose. I salute you Mr. Hamilton

I enjoyed reading this book because of his history, the stories about Christ and the birthing of his songs. The pictures of the meals immediately makes you want to taste his cooking. Thanks for the recipes. I can't wait to try them.Continued Blessings Anthony!

This book was a enjoyable. It allowed us to go behind the music and find out exactly Who is Anthony Hamilton. I truly enjoyed reading it. Some parts resonated with me so I shed a few tears. Doing other parts I was nodding my head remember my own childhood.

This book is spoken from the heart! I felt his passion & pain in telling his truth...it was an easy read which was very important to me since I’m NOT an average reader...the book concept is amazin...exposing how each song came about along w/sharing his southern roots; I’m a country girl too...I feel his vibe, literally...I would like to commend Mr. Hamilton on a fabulous job well done!! Anthony Hamilton is one of my favorite artist. This book gives me a wonderful inside snap shot of the history of his music. I was also excited to see he included recipes. Can't wait to try one! Wonderful read, page turner, and funny!! I wanted more!
