It's a part of a well balanced windscreen system
Buffeting is horrible, and solving it is tricky. This clip on did not solve my issue. The best way to solve buffeting is to adjust your windscreen for angle and gap at the bottom to allow smooth airflow behind the windscreen. Sometimes you can do this as is and some bikes require aftermarket parts. This clip on extension, however, allowed me to fine tune my setup and move the smooth air up high enough to eliminate any final amount of buffeting and quiet the wind noise. So, it works, but I wouldnt expect it to solve all of your problems necessarily.Quality is ok for the price. I didn't use the "upgraded" bolts, so far it's been fine up to 90 mph.

Good add to extend windshield
I have a cheap windshield on my motorcycle, and it isn't tall enough to block the wind which caused helmet buffeting. I bought this (almost as much as the windshield itself) and assembled and installed it fairly easy. It is adjustable (up and down) and helps cure the buffeting alot. The only thing it's thick and distorts your riding vision if you try to look through it. Beats buying a $500 windshield, hoping to solve the buffeting issue. Make sure you clean your windshield and wipe any residue off with rubbing alcohol. Then install it. Check it every few rides for tightness. It doesn't like dirt roads cause it'll move on you.Edit. Aug 3,2023 The rubber tabs that hold the extension to the primary windshield started to loosen. I took the extension apart and applied some E6000 glue to all the rubber tab adhesive sides and put it back on the plastic grips that create the compression. I also put some on the front side of the rubber tab. made thicker for better grabbing power (I think the rubber tabs are too thin to begin). After everything was dry, reassembled, and placed back on my primary windshield I haven't had an issue since. E6000 is more like strong silicone and doesn't dry hard. So more grip on the primary windshield. I've even repaired my riding boots and saddlebags with E6000. It dries clear, is flexible, and very strong.

Reduced buffeting
This winglet fit my 2015 Kawasaki versys 650 very well and reduced the buffeting on my helmet at highway speeds. I believe the windshield for the 1000 is the same size. Good price. Good hardware with kit. Would recommend. Hope this helps someone.

It works, but there are trade-offs
I will say that it controls the helmet buffering. But with my particular windshield, I now have to look through the wind diverter plexiglass, which is relatively clean, but it is also brand new. It makes my windshield shake that it did not do before, and during certain reflections from the sun, it does get a little irritating, but I do think with as little as it bothered me on the first ride I doubt it I’ll even notice it later on. I’m glad I bought it because the wind buffering was very irritating to me, and it took away from the pleasure of writing. Now it’s relatively smooth at my helmet, which I like.It works they do give you updated hardware but I must admit it’s what I call a Jerry rig. It’s pour hardware to begin with, but it was under $30 so I cannot act like I am surprised. It is not some thing that you are going to buy once you will likely have to replace it after the first year or three I would think? The plastic hardware is as minimal as it could possibly be without it failing.

Easy to install, provides just enough lift for cleaner air
Have this installed on an F650GS (using stock windscreen). At my height, the stock BMW windscreen is incredibly noisy/droney as it directs all the wind to my neck/chin area. Adding this extension gives just a little more lift and channels the wind over my helmet making the riding experience much quieter and more pleasant. It can also be folded down/away for in town riding or hot days where you want more wind on your face.

For the money, it definitely works well but...
So I'll tell you that for the money that you pay, this is an excellent alternative to the more expensive branded ones. However, I'll also tell you that for what you pay, you shouldn't expect superb quality and build materials. Does it work well as designed to defect wind in an adjustable fashion? Yes, absolutely. I've installed it on my 16' FJR just for a little more height on the touring screen that I have and it definitely works. Was easy to install and stays put. I'll try to break it down into a list of pros and cons.Pros:-Very affordable-Easy to install-Easily adjustable-Works well at deflecting wind-Easy to see through-Has stayed put through high speeds and for more than 1000 miles already.Cons:-The first one I got was definitely off-centered and nothing I did would get it to sit on the stock screen level, that was easily remedied by contacting amazon and they sent out a replacement in a snap.-It's made from a PlexiGlass material and you'll notice it immediately when you take it out and hold it up next to your actual windscreen-The directions are included but aren't the clearest. I can see someone less mechanically inclined struggling a bit-It's 80% impossible to see through it when it gets wet, I think it's due to the fact that it's that weird plexiglass material- It gets dirty in a really strange way, like not like the windscreen so often it's harder to see through and you'll need to clean it more- I think it has some weird components or film on it because after I use my microfiber to clean it, it leaves a weird hazy film on my windscreen and it won't come off unless I let both it and the windscreen dry and then use a dry microfiber and all but scrub it out. I never had any issues with my microfiber and my windscreen until this addition.-Because of the added height, it shakes a bit a higher speeds and causes the windscreen to shake with it, this also makes it harder to see through the faster you go.-The adjustable bits seem pretty flimsy, but once locked in place it seems to stay put, for nowNow down to the real question, would I buy it again or recommend it to a friend? Absolutely. If you're looking for a solution without breaking the bank, this is it. I would just advise a word of caution, but at this price point, you really shouldn't be expecting anything less. It always blows my mind how people will spend 3 dollars on an item and expect it to perform like it's $90 alternative. I give it 5 stars because it does its job very well at deflecting wind, I took off a star for all the other bits that come with it.

Works for my V-Strom 650
It clips right on and once it's on, it does the thing. It no longer sounds like I'm riding in a wind tunnel once I hit 50.

Day and night difference
I was little ify on this product tbh from looking at the reviews I was like screw let’s give it a shot but works perfect on 07 GSXR 600 the wind would beat my chest when riding sometimes I didn’t want to ride but man this thing saved me looks good works perfectly now the wind goes over my helmet and can be relaxed and comfortable the only thing is when I did receive it the side arm was cracked. Also I’m 6’3 in height you have to mess with it to your comfort and find the angles I would recommend to anyone
