Nice Rolling Tire
2.35 TNT Casing - mounted on front and rear.-It is a little narrow - and I have 30mm rims - narrower then the same size XR3-Faster than the XR3's and the Barzos have a more substantial sidewall-Cornering and general grip are good - you can tell these are really XC oriented/optimized-At low speed, like going up a steep technical Climb or traversing a technical off camber they tend to slide or spin out easier than my previous XR3.Maybe not the best back tire if you like steeper technical climbs. I went with the Barzo instead of the Mezcal hoping for more grip at the rear.

Measurements on 29 mm width rim
Reviewing for purpose of answering more questions. One hour after mounting on 29 mm internal width rim, tire not yet ridden, measures 2.3 inches at the sidewall and 2.20 at the widest tread. Mounted easily and held test pressure of 35 psi without sealant. Will update from 4 stars (or not) after I've ridden them for a while.

Vittoria Barzo 2.3
The Barzo was purchased to provide more grip in the fall leaves and it performs well. The tire grabs the trail and doesn’t slide/drift like my summer tires. This said, it still rolls well. The only negative is that the initial install was a bit tough. The tire didn’t mount easily but once on, seated quickly.

Grippy
I've ridden in loose gravel, hard packed, and sandy conditions. These tires handled everything with no issues. I haven't been in any wet or muddy conditions. I've only had them a month so not sure on tread wear.

Great grip, smooth rolling
I bought it for my rear on a YETI SB 100. Needed more grip. Decided to add 2.35 to front at same time. Both are great. Wonderful grip, not heavy and they roll well too. I am a Nobby Nic fan, but these seems a bit better for overall.

On rails
I recently upgraded my front wheel to a lighter/stiffer combo. I mounted this but didn't change out an older rear tire from another manufacturer. This handled like it was on rails. Under hard cornering, the rear was constantly breaking loose while the front was set. Conditions were dry/dusty/hard pack in Bend, OR. Thoroughly impressed with the confidence it gave me. 20psi/ 185lb rider on XL bike.

Fast-ish rolling. Slightly under sized.
Little bit undersized for a 2.35. Actual measurements are closer to 2.25. Decent grip in loose, mud and wet leaves. Swapped to these for the winter in New England. Reasonably priced. Overall a decent tire if you don't mind a slightly smaller than 2.35.

Makes me wanna keep riding
The vittoria barzo 29 x 2.35 is absolutely amazing. I've been mountainbiking for 30 years so have been through a lot of tyres but decided to stick with maxxis for the last few years. Until I tried vittoria, barzo up front and mezcal out back and I must say omg, why haven't I used them sooner. Super fast rolling, amazing grip ( dry conditions at present), lighter weight and more control. Vittoria is now my go to tyre, important info:- don't listen to reviews that state the size is under the stated size. If you run them on 25mm internal rim or wider they are spot on,

Love 'em
These replaced a set of WTB Nano race 2.1 on my XC bike, so comparing to those.Firstly they look amazing with the skinwalls. Significant improvement on grip especially in wet weather. Fast rolling on hardpack. Although not the best in proper mud they are again a marked improvement on the WTBs I had on the bike before. No punctures yet, and still running with tubes a couple of months now. The price fluctuates a fair bit, vtry and pick them up around the £30 mark.

Working well
Easy set up tubeless with just a cheap track pump. Holds air well. Looks great!Top tip - always a good idea to replace your rim tape to ensure it’s all airtight from that side.

Absolutely useless!
Fitted a set of these tyres and kept losing pressure. Wheels had been completely cleaned and sealant added correctly. Found that the air was escaping through the side wall. Received a replacement set and now doing the same thing again. It has only been used for road cycling so far at around 50psi. Max is supposed to be 58psi but I think they just can’t handle this kind of pressure. But anything lower and the handling is absolutely appalling. Terrible tyres! Will be requesting a refund this time.

I should've listened to the other person. More like a 2.3".
I ordered this along with the Mezcal 2.6 and they are not even close to being the same size. The Mezcal is great but this one is narrow. However, since I wanted Barzo front and Mezcal rear, I actually returned the 2.5 Mezcal and fitted a 2.35 Mezcal on the rear. Now the tyres are roughly the same volume. Vittoria needs to address this since many riders want to ride this combo. Ignoring the width issue, it's a great tyre. Seated well and loads of grip for an XC/trail tyre. The Mezcal rear and Barzo front are a match made in heaven.
