works fine
I got this to use on my new Valterra D04-0250 Dominator 15' Sewer Hose Kit in my new Valterra A04-0153 White 64" EZ Hose Carrier but I find I only need the black end with the tether strap on it. Here's why - when I put the hose away (after thoroughly rinsing) I want it to air dry so I want to leave the back end open. I do this by leaving the red cap off and loading that end of the sewer hose into the storage tube first. The tube has some air circulation so the sewer hose dries out with one end open. Now, the storage tube is about 10-12 inches longer than the sewer hose so, when I go to use it, it's usually a semi-long reach to grab it and drag it out so I use the black end, with the tether on it, on this end. I hooked a stiff little bungee cord to the little rubber tether and it lays in there in front of the sewer hose and allows me to easily reach into the storage tube and pull out the sewer hose.

they do what they are supposed to do..
I purchased these so that when i store my sewer hose extension, they take up less space and don't smell. Sewer hoses take up less space if you install one end cap, compress the hose, and then install the second end cap. As long as you have a hose with no holes and end caps (like these) that form a good seal, the hose will remain compressed because no air can fill the hose if it were to expand. Obviously odors are better trapped inside with end caps too, so that's the other benefit. The Valterra caps fit nice and snug, so they serve the required purpose. I suppose if I had to have one request, I'd like them both to be colorful so that it's easier to see them when they are on the ground (inevitable), and thus less likely that I'll forget one somewhere. For my use, that's not going to happen (again... because I like the space-saving feature!).

Work as advertised
We have 2 sewer hoses of different lengths, so we bought two sets of drip caps. We have a small trailer with limited outside storage, so space is at a premium. When the hoses are compressed and the caps installed, the hoses stay compressed and compact enough to both fit into the milk crate we use to store all of our sewage handling equipment. They don't expand and snake out of the crate. We all know that it is impossible to get every bit of rinse water out of a sewer hose at a dump station - especially when there is a line of trailers waiting - and having the caps ensures that any small amount of water that might be left in the hoses does not drip into the storage compartment.

Great replacement for our Portable Sewer Tank
Needed a new cap for the camper sewer drain AND a new one for our portable sewer tank, this had both and they work very well.

Just what was needed
For the price of the hose, these should've been included. Gave 4 Stars because of this.

A MUST HAVE IF YOU ARE STORING THE STINKY SLINKY INSIDE ANYTHING
I have two sets of these and they work great. I keep my "good hoses" inside a plastic storage box and these keep any residual mess from leaking. Without these the inside of the box would be gross! They are solidly build and keep your "stuff" together!

They are what they are
The bayonet fit (or lug fit) just as you would expect and the material seems well made. These work for me.
