Great product and great customer service
I love this thing - quite and efficient - holds a ton - uses AC or DC power - works great for camping and for family holidays sitting inside holding drinks(without having to worry about keeping Ice in it. Besides that its got the same compressor as the more expensive brands, so its going to last well. Thanks to the gang at Juniper for pointing me to this thing. I had 1 issue because It didn't end up working in the location i had planned and the customer service team was excellent to work with and helped me get to a great solution. On top of that I ended up talking to the same customer service agent both times, no need to start over with what was happening, it was a breath of fresh air. Thanks Gang - I'm definately recommending this to friends and family.

Good unit, Great customer service
This fridge was EXCELLENT for a road trip out to the western U.S - We put it in the back of our 4runner on a custom built slide, attached to a jackery 500 battery. This thing SIPS energy on the 12v setting. We connected the jackery to the vehicle cigarette adapter and the fridge to the battery so that it would run off the battery while the vehicle was off. Never had a problem or hiccup with power - food stayed cold, and the freezer worked perfectly. We often parked in a shady area, but it was still hot outside -- the fridge ran cool. We stored the fridge for a year in between trips, and it lost functionality. Contacted ICECO - their customer service handled it quickly and provided an immediate fix. Couldn't be happier with the unit or the customer service. Stuff happens. It is nice having the confidence in knowing that when it does -- the company backs their product.

Awesome for Overlanding
I recently got my hands on the ICECO VL45 Portable Refrigerator with SECOP Compressor, and it's been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. Here's why I think it's worth every penny: Impressive Performance: This fridge is a beast. Pre-cooling the contents before loading is key, as it performs best that way. Whether plugged into AC power or your vehicle's DC outlet, it chills quickly. Plus, when connected to a portable power station, it's remarkably efficient. I never had an issue with running out of power on my deep cycle battery on a 4 day trip. Sturdy and Thoughtful Design: The all-metal construction gives it a robust feel, and the compressor operates quietly. The lid features a wide rubber gasket and secure locking hasps, ensuring a tight seal. The controls and plugs are on the same end, there is another model that has an additional plug on the other side which would be a bonus for loading into a car or truck differently. Temperature Precision: While it may run a few degrees above the displayed set point, it holds the temperature consistently. I found that setting it slightly lower than desired keeps contents at the perfect temperature. In summary, the VL45 is a game changer for me on the go Overlanding. I finally can stop buying ice and having boxes and paper disintegrate in ice water. Highly recommended!

IT'S AWESOME !!
Paired with an Ecoflow Delta 2 Max and extra battery, the VL45 is awesome. I'm on my 8th 2 week desert trip in 90 degree temps and had the thermostat set at 0 degrees F and it kept all foods frozen. Bought a second one to use as a refer, it's set at 36 F giving me plenty of fridg space for extended off grid camping. Both have worked flawless. Also, low power consumption somewhere around 35 watts each.

Does the job, but some exceptions
Good for 2 people overlanding for about 4 days at a time. We cycle canned drinks in as we use them to free up space and that seems to work well. Keeps things nice and cold and draws relatively small amount of power. We use this in an offroad trailer with 100ah lithium battery, 200 watt solar, and alternator charging from truck when underway. This setup has been more than enough to power fridge and leave plenty in the bank for other consumers. Worked well in 100 degree weather in desert. Make sure to get it out of direct sunlight or it will struggle. The skin get incredibly hot in intense sunlight. Thermostat sucks like others have said. Iceco tried to give some BS explanation about the compressor mode. I compared with thermometer inside. Unit is routinely 10 degrees warmer than what it says and swings 10+ degrees before readout sees 2 degree increase and kicks on compressor. I simply adjusted unit to 29 degree setpoint and that keeps it in mid 30s most the time. Before you use it, caulk the internal seams with silicone. This should be done from the factory. Spills will seep down into insulation and never leave. Also, condensation forms on walls and drips down and pools slightly in bottom. This will also be a problem if it is allowed to drip down into insulation. The external construction is solid. I accidentally lowered my trailer onto it briefly and it supported the whole weight and only scratched the paint on the cooler. It has a some issues, but overall, I'm happy with what I have. Definitely caulk the inside or you will be sorry.

Amazing unit! Iceco VL45 Taking a trip to Arizona for 6 months in the dessert. We needed to expand our grocery capacity being there are no stores in the dessert. We were skeptical as first due to previous coolers/ freezers we had purchased in the past. Most previous products cooled at best, not freezing the items and eventually usually ended up with a melted DC cord. At times the temp in the motorhome was 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Yet in the Iceco everything remains frozen. We were boondocking with insufficient solar to run air conditioners, but the Iceco worked beautifully. We purchased the VL45 2.5 years ago and only once we thought we had a problem with the settings. We contacted Iceco directly, they responded immediately and step by step took us through testing procedures that took three days to complete and rectify the problem. I don’t remember ever dealing with a manufacturer that was so helpful and ready to stand behind their product. I would have no problem recommending the VL45 to anyone. Floyd

I bought this fridge/freezer a few years ago for a van conversion I was working on for myself. I am extremely happy with this product and it has been in use every day since then. I wanted a good solid dependable unit and that's exactly what I got. I I mounted it on locking drawer slides in my kitchen cabinets to maximize cooking and counter top space so nothing has to move out of the way to access it. This unit has been as far north, west and east in Canada as possible with no problem and I have never had any spoilage due to it always keeping within a couple of degrees of set temperature no matter how hot the weather, it has functioned very well from minus 30C to plus 44C. I highly recommend this unit and would not hesitate to buy another one in the future should I do another van conversion.

Unit came in the mail and was in perfect condition, easy to take out and use. Very simple to use and great amount of space for comfortable weekend camping or extended trips. We added this in our truck camper to avoid soggy food from using ice. This was the one with the best reviews, using the proven Secop and within a reasonable budget. Iceco was nice enough to offer to match the Black Friday price since I ordered it a week in advance, which is a bonus.
