Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Baldurs Gate 2 is my second favourite game of all time (the first is Tes 3 Morrowind). I have been playing BG2 since it’s initial release on PC. I have it installed on every computer and iPad and I love the game dearly. Voice acting is brilliant and Minsc will always be my favourite NCP as Jon Irenicus will always be my favourite antagonist.But I cannot play it on the Switch. I rarely connect it to a tv and it is simply too small on the Switch screen. It gives me headaches. I almost cried in despair. As this is my issue I am not taking off a star. Now if Beamdog had added zoom capabilities I would be able to play it as I could enlarge the visuals on the screen.This is a shame as having BG2 so portable is a dream, as the Switch is smaller and lighter to carry around than an iPad or laptop. The game itself runs well but I unfortunately cannot play the game in handheld mode. I cannot comment further on gameplay as I could not play it for long.EditI have read recently (September 2020) about how to zoom, so I am going to give the game another go. It will be different to play without mods but I am willing to sink several hours in to it to find out

Very good value box set. Baldurs Gate 2 is rock solid on the 'core rules' difficulty which is making it hard to play through frankly, but there's no doubt they're both great games and good value in this box set.

I bought this for one reason and one reason alone. Having these two classic games on the go. Sadly, in handheld mode, these games are frankly unplayable. It's a blurry mess, with unintuitive controls, and missing touch controls.What's more, is that the game crashed and corrupted my save 3 times. Even after a patch was released supposedly to fix it.Sadly, on the switch at least, it's not fit for purpose

I have been playing this game on my Switch Lite for the past few weeks and really enjoying it.I was one of those who played it originally on PC, so nostalgia was a major factor in picking it up. It plays very much like how I remember it, but with some quality of life improvements and extra content such as extra missions, characters etc.I wouldn't expect a graphical master piece and sometimes on the small screen it can be a little hard to pick out details. But, using the zoom function I found it perfectly playable.I deducted one star due to some bugs that still seem to be occurring even after a recent patch.Overall a great blast from the past.

I played this as a PC game many years ago and bought this for the nostalgia trip. It is living up to expectations - graphics tidies up, same gameplay and mechanics, still good fun. One or two glitches every now and then, but less than in the original version as far as I remember. If you want to revisit old-school gaming, then this is perfect. If you are used to slick and graphically rich modern games, then this would be a bit of a culture shock!!

Got it relatively cheaply for GBP25, I had the pc version but never played it after the first 20-ish hours so I sold it, well, practically gave it away and good riddance.Switch version works nicely on my switch lite, but just like Pillars of Eternity it won't give the same impression compared to the fullscreen gameplay.The menus are easy to read, but if you are a pc gamer, get the pc version instead obviously, the switch menu does work but is more cumbersome than its mouse equivalent. Still, it is workable.The best thing probably is that you can store your notes (which you need) in the jewelcase. So, just like similar games like DOS, nnk, do not ever get the cheap digital, because you will regret not making notes.

I remember this being a multiplayer game years ago, the revamped game on switch is single player only and over complicated.

I was lucky to buy this on offer very cheaply in the e-shop - something I’m thankful of as at around 12 hours of gameplay in, saving my game forced the software to suddenly quit. Upon reopening I found all of my save data gone. No way to bring it back, even with the Nintendo Switch Cloud save… had I paid full price for a broken game, I’d’ve been livid. Someone has to sort this out already - there’s forum posts about it going back YEARS. It’s embarrassing.

j'etais contente de retrouver un jeu auquel j'ai joué pendant des heures sur pc.Malheureusement, à ma premiere sessions de jeu, j'ai laché l'affaire: la maniabilité sur switch est insuportable.Je ne referais plus l'erreur d'acheter un jeu PC adapté sur switch

While I may be biased with newer games this one is just very... Poor... Hard to get what you're supposed to do and generally very confusing. I did play this back in the day on pc, but damn... I remembered this game to be awesome, but it turned out to be a lackluster.Don't get me wrong, they did a decent job to transfer it to the switch, but the game is just pretty damn awful by any modern standards

Chi ha comprato questa versione per nintendo sapeva benissimo cosa avrebbe comprato.Avendo giocato a questo gioco anche su ps4 non ho trovato il settaggio dei comandi scomodi, a differenza di chi si approccia venendo dal PC.Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto.

I really want to give it a 5 star but for the price I’m having a hard time doing that. A used copy for 100, whew. Took a lot to click that buy now button, but actually I’m glad I did. Came early and the seller answered every question I had promptly. And the games are amazing. And now being able to play it in handheld is just wonderful. Text isn’t too small so it’s easy to read, unlike planescape torment. And the games are just enjoyable. It’s the full package. Baldurs gate 1 & 2 along with expansions. Yes the price was insane but overall I’m really happy with the purchase. I wish there was a way to haggle the price lol. I will definitely be buying from this seller again and I will definitely be enjoying these gems of games.
