Washed the carbon filter, and the ceramic balls and placed them in the plastic container. Turned on. Then, came the flood. The motor which is attached to the filter body via plastic/rubber ring-like gasket apparently was not seated deep enough, or came loose during the shipment, and it sprung a leak. I had to mop up the water from the wooden floor. Hopefully there is not much water damage to the floor. By the time I unplugged the filter, there was significant puddle. So, I can vouch that the pump is strong enough, and have plenty of flow rate. The noise level is low. However, the flow control knob does not seem to alter the flow much. The pump assembly attachment is on the second attached picture. Please do make sure that it is seated properly before you plug it in. So, after the incident, after hours or so after I pressed in the motor assembly firmly, there is no leak. So, one poor design, and its major critical potential problem is that if the motor seal fails, you will have flood on your floor. Maybe I have to purchase next tier filter system that is failure proof, and if fails, not fail in disastrous flood. Disappointed.

It's says on the box that it has a uv bulb in and there is not

Good strong filter
Already have Grech filter - this is a bit smaller. They are good strong filters but are noisey.

Defective product
Love how compact it is. Very easy to set up. The motor is a bit noisy and has trouble sucking in the water. Might be defective
