ECO-LITE High Power 24W LED PAR38 Wide Flood 60Deg. Soft White Light Bulb

I am using led lights to replace halogen floods that I have in my painting studio that is also a gallery for shows, and cost a fortune to run. I heard that a few art museums are now using led lamps, and thought I should look into having the same set up they have. I tracked down the company, and found their lamps were about 16x the price each, and require their own special tracks.I often paint at night, and have found that not only don't I like the idea of fluorescents having mercury in them, but the light feels thin, no matter how bright it is. If I'm painting late, the colors can appear unacceptably different than daylight or halogen. I put in Philips 18w PAR38s (3000k). They were a lot better than fluorescent, but were too blue. I ended up using lighting gels to warm the color up to halogen-ish. Unfortunately, they were too narrowly focused and the bouncing light made my eyes feel tired over time even if I turned them down, and there was always a hot spot to mitigate.After a few trials of different bulbs, I found that 24W Eco-lites were the closest to what I want. They appear slightly dimmer than the Philips, but this is to be expected as the light is more diffuse over a larger area. These bulbs create a much more pleasing and gentle wash of light, more like the tone of halogens, and best of all I will not be fooling with gels to correct the color. I am very pleased and will be ordering more so I can swap out all the fluorescent lights from my studio, and probably all the halogens, too. They're also very cool looking when installed.

I replaced the incandescent bulbs in my Par 38 cans with these. Stage temperature dropped by 20 degrees, and we're still well lit. After a year of use, no issues.

Seemed to be made well, but it didn't omit as much light as I thought it would. I ended up having to add an extra recessed light to my area, so that was probably more the issue.

pros: - fast shipping - very bright SPOTLIGHT - No heatcons - very pricey compared to others - not a FLOOD light. - color (very warm color, not clean white color) **** To be fair, i did not penalize this product on color, because it is clearly stated in the description, any negatives came stricly from the "floodiness" and price.If you're looking for a real bright true FLOOD light, that has a cool white color, then buy the par38 bulb from LEDwholesalers. it's item # B005CDACYYit is cheap, you get 2, and it's brighter and super floody compared to this.

We have been looking for a good deal on these lights. They are cool to the touch and heavy duty. They were exactly what we were looking for and they have been installed and are reducing our electric consumption at our business.

OK, but not nearly as bright as the wattage would indicate.

These Eco-Lite LED's finally pleased me with the brightness and uniform color as close as you can get to the Halogen they replaced and they look much more modern and elegant. The dimming feature is very linear and it packs a lot of luminosity for the only 24Watts used. I've been on something of a quest for an LED bulb worthy of replacing CFL's or incandescents and have not been happy till now. While it may look overly industrial and something of an eyesore, this solid unit stays cool while providing a bright, concentrated beam of pleasing light. Perhaps it is the individual reflectors at each LED or just the quality of them generally, but they have no trouble throwing a bright beam of light unlike any other LED I've tried and with solid construction and relatively light weight. It is, however, a product of China, but so far that is true of most.
