Worst book I've ever read
I have been an avid reader for my entire life and cannot for the life of me imagine how this got to print. This reads like a third grade assignment, and not even a good one at that. I was really excited to read about the history of central park in a concise format, instead I found myself reading an accumulation of quotations from other sources. There were typos all over the book, pages that consisted of a half page picture with no explanation or detail, and no logical flow whatsoever to the organization or structure. I cannot understand how this was published, but whoever wrote this should be ashamed of him/herself.

nothing nothing
Mostly a rehash of old guide books with very little depth and few details. Dearth of maps and pictures particularly disappointing.

Nice, Informative, Yet, Easy to Read Book from Charles Rivers Editors.
Length: 69 pages.Despite a few typographical errors, I found this to be an informative, yet easy to read, booklet about New York's Central Park. While growing up during the sixties about the only thing I knew about this famous landscape was that it was overrun by druggies, thieves, robbers and rapists. Well, at least that was the common knowledge out in California.Funny thing about common knowledge - the nearest thing we have to that is a lot of the ideas spread through social networks. In other words, Missourians have the right idea - let me see it with my own eyes. After reading this information from Charles a rivers Editors, I have a desire to travel to New York primarily to take a stroll through Central Park. I want to visit the museum and Cleopatra's Needle and I want to see for myself if the park is half as nice as this book states Central Park to be,If you commute to work and the drive takes 45 minutes or so to get to work, you should have time enough to read it on your return home.

It wan't what I expected. Too technical and too many dates,

The magic of New York's Central Park.
Most interesting account of the development of this world known and much loved park in the middle of the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan New York. With the detailed historical background of the park's features and the wonderful photos, it entices the reader to revisit the park again to check out the hidden gems!!

disapointed in this small book..... ...
disapointed in this small book.......it just seems to be a series of chunks cut and pasted from various official documents. Initially this was interesting.....however by half way through the book it was obvious the 'writters' had done no writting at all
