Surprisingly good!
I needed a new level, but as an apartment dweller, I no longer do much in the way of DIY stuff. Nonetheless, I needed a level and figured I'd need to spend $30 or so for a Johnson or a Torpedo. Then I ran across this and thought for eight bucks, why not? This is a really good unit that feels of good quality. The bubble levels line up nicely, plus the level shoots out a laser line which by itself would likely cost ten bucks. (They even include a set of spare batteries!) The short rulers (both English and metric) are a nice bonus.

Nice inexpensive little multi tool, but doesn't excel in any one area
Easy to use, but the laser beam could be a bit stronger. The levels are accurate enough for what I need, but if you need something to be exactly level, you might want to go with something a bit more focused on just that one aspect instead of a multi-tool. The tape measure works fine, but again, if you need something to be exact, get a non-hybrid tool. Jack of all trades, but master of none type of tool, like basically every multi-tool. As a side note I've found this to be useful for when I trim my beard. The way the top level is placed is still easy to read when the tool is upside down so I can tilt my head around and use it to see my beard angles that way.

Nowhere close to a precision tool, but good enough.
So let me first explain the 4-stars. This thing is worth 4 stars based on the price alone, and what you get for the money. So onto an actual product review... Opening the package I was pleasantly surprised to see an additional flat ruler and a small Phillips-head screw driver. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that not only were batteries included, but batteries were already in the device. Using the tool is pretty straight forward, there is no trickery afoot. The switch turns on the laser, and it's next to impossible to screw up a bubble level, so they work as intended. The laser pattern switch took me a second to understand (RTFM), but it's easy to function once you realize it's far more simple than you think it would be. The tape measure works perfectly, though the operation of the locking mechanism is the exact opposite of every other tape measure I've used. Again, once I understood it, zero complaints. Now, there are two cons, and if this were a $100 tool it would result in a 1 star rating, but at $12 I'm still pleased. My only complaint is that the laser casts at about a 5 degree clockwise angle. This isn't as much an issue if you hold it against a wall to have a horizontal laser, but if you set it on a table or counter, the laser is noticeably not straight up and down. Being aware of this, I just use it horizontally and adjust for the very slight angular change caused. The other con, and it's not a complaint, is that the bubble levels aren't very precise. This is a problem with the markings on the bubble cylinders themselves, not a defect or anything, as these levels will only get you pretty close. In short - this tool is worth the 4 stars because it does what it advertises adequately enough for the price. It's more than adequate for someone looking to make sure their pictures are level and in line, but if you are an OCD type or have legitimate need for a higher precision tool, spend the money.

A fantastic lazer with limited depth of use and unnecessary additions.
Oooltech Multipurpose Laser Tool Review. This review is for the Oooltech multi-purpose laser tool featuring 3 varied liquid analog levels (0, 45 & 90 degrees) and dual sided quick measuring strips; one side standard (6") and the other metric (15cm). At also features an 8 foot tape measure but what is most important is what I'll be taking a close look at today and that's the multi position laser. Laser, through a simple on off power switch, can be aligned to produce different angles of laser line or a pinpoint cross. This is performed using a flathead screwdriver, which is not the one included; that is for changing the 3x LR44 – AG 13 button batteries. I think I would've preferred an adjustment tool over the Phillips-head screwdriver they provided because that would get a lot more use through the life of the laser. The laser is very bright, and extremely easy to set up. Pretty much a no-brainer here. If you need a level line, you got one. Hang your pictures up align your shelves have a blast. If you need a vertical line which is the reason why I purchased this, it pretty much does the trick but I found that there was something I missed almost immediately and that was the lack of a tripod mount. I am going to experiment around with a few things but just having a hole at the base that's threaded properly for a tripod would have made this a definite addition to my junk drawer toolbox. As it is, if I lose it once the job is over I don't think I'm going to be heartbroken. Yet saying that, I feel very confident that it is going to do the job I expected to do. Personally, I did not need a tape measure are even the two metal sides for measuring 15 cm or 6 inches, however, saying that, I could probably see myself using it should I need to draw a quick straight line and had a pencil nearby. Ironically enough they include a small metal ruler that they call the beam adjustment tool. Let me just call it what it is: a small six-inch metal ruler that just happens to have a thin enough edge to be able to adjust the tool. Now for the price I'm not asking a lot out of this but, just a little bit more effort and maybe have one of the edges be slightly rubberized so that you don't have to worry about scratching the lens as they warn you to take care to prevent from happening within the instructions. All in all, the price is right and the laser is strong so I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends depending on the job they need done. Feedback to the manufacture, if there is a way to create a vertical laser line that can be angled upward allowing the laser to be drawn over a longer distance while sitting closely to an object being lased, this would be a huge help. For example, when aligning screws for cabinet installation it would be great to place the laser within the cabinet shelf in order to have a line from the top screw that would draw all the way to the bottom of the cabinet and allow it to properly marked where the base screw should go in order to make sure it hits the stud. As it is, this one does not even come close to being able to do that, hence the need for the inclusion of a tapped hole for a tripod. Note: I purchased this from Amazon. I did not receive any compensation for this unit and this review is made solely for the purpose to inform not promote.
