Klein Tools 625-24 Triple Taps 6-32, 8-32, 10-24

Having run into drywall plaster that gets into the screw thread of wall receptacles, this tool allows easy chasing and or repair to damaged threads. Also useful to clean up threads in other situations, mostly due to lousy machining on new equipment. Overall a handy tool to keep in your bag.

I've been electrician for 20+ years and have used these Klein triple taps since day one. They're a great tool and last a long time. The only time I've had to replace one is when I foolishly drop the tool and the hardened steel tip snaps.... I end up buying a new tool since the replacement tap insert is usually much more expensive (if even available..)

Bought this to replace a broken 625-32 that I've had for years.1. When I went to buy to tool insert, it was more expensive than the tool! Why bother making the tool insert available if you can get it cheaper by buying the whole tool and discarding the handle.2. Why would I discard the handle, you ask? The new one is smaller! The old one was about an inch, the new one is closer to .85 inches. That takes more effort to turn (about 15% more).Please, Klein tools, the handle on my old one is fine. Make the inserts available at a reasonable price, please.

First try it worked great. great for my electrical tool kit. saved a tech call. very happy with the tool.

This Klein tool is an underrated one I must say. It’s a tool that makes you wonder how you ever worked without it. Saves me a lot of time and helps give devices a perfect finish.

Low voltage tech here: my coworkers keep borrowing mine, it's that good. Especially for delicate wire work like thermostats.

I don't know how electricians get by without one of these. During a job where I hired electricians, one said, I can't get these screws to seat in the junction box. I had the same problem under a friend's house installing some extra lights in his crawl space using round plastic junction boxes w/porcelain receptacles. I could only force a quarter turn at a time putting the screw in the box. A friend told me about this tool. After using it, the screws went in just using my fingers. Rethread all your junction boxes with this tool before going to the job.

Several electrical boxes in the basement of our relatively new home would not take screws for outlet cover plates. Chasing them out with the Klein Tap fixed the problem. Klein Tools have a good reputation which is why I purchased it.

Everyone should have one , never used a screwdriver so much , bigger than I thought but 3 different thread sizes on it

Great little tool! Fits nicely in my packout. Good for fixing the threads on device boxes at trim-out.

If you use klein you know what your getting. Solid tool that does its job right every time, ive used it plenty of times and it hasnt broken yet. it is quite short so it tends to get lost at the bottom of a pouch, but you arent using every day all the time, so it actually kind of helps not getting in the way of other tools

Easy to use and good grip. Saved me when I had to install a media panel covers and the holes are tapped very poorly.
