I don't make very reviews (too much online shopping for that, who has the time?)So after years of children and a large dog on the grass I have been trying to grow the grass back to it former glory with very little results. This spring we decided to renovate the garden and saw it was even even worse. After trying multiple diffrent ways to try and revive the grass and failing I scoured the Internet look for clues wanting to stay away from artifical grass.We came across Pronto Ultra Patch Grass Seed & Fertiliser after reading many reviews i decided to also buy Sprogs & Dogs Ultra Hardwearing Grass Seed Pronto Seed Premium Grass Seed i mixed all the seeds together in a bucket and added water. Raked over the areas I wanted to test my new found knowledge on I placed down my mix in these areas and covered with topsoil. I watered the grass every night as the weather was very warm. The photos above is 1 week apart the grass actually started to grow. I was like shut the front door I have actually managed to grow grass for the first time after many attempts. It now looks like there is more and more grass there everyday. I have not allowed my little people or dog walk on this grass while it is growing that can wait a few weeks until I it gets it's first grass cut. The lovely British weather has now changed to very wet days anyways. The photos where taken on May 10th and May the 17th. Hoping we will have lovely full lawn ready for summer.

Perfect. I sowed them and after about 4 days they were already visible sprouting. I can recommend how to make it work. The initial soil should be a little soft so that after it is sown you can rake it with a rake to mix it with the soil, then tamp the soil very well, after which the soil should be well watered but the water should not drain away so as not to wash the seeds. It should be watered daily until it grows bigger.

Bought this to patch a lawn after building work had caused bald areas. I put it down and roughly raked it in but not really doing it as carefully as I could. The pigeons didn’t find it for a few days but once they did, some got eaten so I sprinkled over a little more seed. It didn’t look like anything was happening but just about a month later, there is lush new grass in some of the patches. It still needs a few areas topping up but overall it has saved us laying new turf. Applied according to the instructions, you’d probably get a better result, too.

Comparing this to a bag of RHS endorsed seed I used before, it's night and day. I have been trying to fix patches by over seeding an existing lawn and while the previous bag of seed didn't germinate at all, this one germinated quickly and grew vigorously, even in deep shade. I did find that it was most effective when lightly covered with fine compost and obviously I kept it consistently moist (watered twice a day when it was warm and dry). Germination took about 7-10 days and now a little over two weeks later it's ready to be cut.Suspect long term it won't thrive in deep shade, but maybe I'll be proven wrong.

Good seed but you need a deceptively large about of it to cover any ground so ignore the advertised coverage, just get twice what it says and you will be good.

I don't do many reviews.However this seed is very good..Sown on the 16/5/25Started appearing 5 days later.The photo is now 26/5/25.I think I have followed the correct process. I dug the area over.Firmed it.Sowed the seeds north to south then east to west.1 square metre at a time and covered them with riddled topsoil.Gently firmed.Admittedly the weather was excellent.My main piece of humble advice would be keep the area moist.I think a Sprinkler is almost essential.I have 2 more areas to do.I will definitely be using Speedy Seed.

Ok so im impressed!! My lawn was patchy and in some places completely free of grass!! The corner of the garden was the worst!! I threw some seeds down and hoped for the best,I just did a bit to see if it would work! And within a couple of weeks the corner has grass again!! Can't wait to do the rest of the garden!!

A bit of hard work pays off!Had mostly weeds and dirt but wanted to see if I could get a lawn for my 1 year old boy to enjoy the summer ☀️I used a weed killer first, after 3 weeks I used a cultivator over all areas and raked it clean of most of the weeds.I used this grass seed and covered with top soil. Plenty of water and 1 treatment of fertiliser after 2 weeks.The final image is 4 weeks after seeding. The seed grows very fast and is very strong, super product! Only reason for 4 stars is I don't feel it covers as many m2 as stated if you want a think lawn, still definitely worth the money and il be buying more to go over a few patches.
