It's made from wool. It's very nicely stitched together. It has a handsome look very sharp. It can be buttoned with ear flaps that go under your chin very comfortable perfect for 30 to 40° temperatures or colder..

I own a real 1943 hat like this but it's too expensive and old to wear every day. I like the style and the wool construction because it keeps your head warm especially with the fold down ear flaps. These do all of the same things as the original. The buttons work, the ear flaps work and the construction is wool. In addition, these are sent from Aberistwyth in Wales where I went to school. The people in Wales know wool 🦙. The Caps are actually made in India but the wool quality is good enough for the Welsh to sell them 😁. You won't be disappointed. Size runs true but when buying wool by a little bit larger to allow for shrinkage after it gets wet. Cheers!

Bought it too large, don't go by sizing.

I love this hat one of very few that will fit small head the quality of the hat is excellent it's perfect for reenactment or you can wear it everyday I got some reproduction badges and it is sweet I'm ready for Hollywood you will love it too

I had a hat like this many years ago. Happy to find this same classic design and its of good quality materials workmanship too. Sizing is spot on. Would buy again. Good value!

Decent quality construction. Stitching is tight and regular. Weight of the material is not as heavy as some repros I own, but not bad either. Like the other repro caps I own this has a cardboard brim covered in "wool" (Which the originals also had.), but if I had one thing I'd wish for is that they used a bit heavier cardboard. (And I say "wool" because none of the repros are all wool, but a blend.) Despite that, it's a functional cap.Product shipped and arrived within two weeks of ordering. (Which is no mean feat coming from England to the US AND having to clear customs. Kudos for that.)But the sizing can't be correct. I own two other M43 repro caps (One black, one field grey), both listed as size 61 cm. (That should be about a 7 3/4 US size.) I can wear both, but they are a bit snug. I was excited to see this available in size 63 cm (About a US 7 7/8) which is a bit big for me, but should fit better than the other two. This cap is TOO small to fit comfortably on my head. That's the reason for the so-so rating. Wish it had worked out better. I'd be quite happy otherwise.

This is a great reproduction hat as a modern day everyday winter hat. It is very durable and don't stretch. It will keep your head warm in any weather conditions
