SUPERGLUE fixed my issues
I ordered this and a metal clamp for my DSLR camera, I returned the metal one because it was too heavy,I plan on going hiking vlogging and weight is my priority, this will not work for my needs out of the box,too much wobble with the 360 degrees spring loaded position mover and plastic plates to hold up down and down movement, SUPERGLUE to the rescue,i found the correct position for my camera to mount on my hiking stick and glued it place, now it is light weight and rock solid,I ordered another and glued it to another angle ,for the price it is very nice but not versatile enough

Pretty great, little issue
So far this product has done what it was described to without any problems but one for a great price, I currently use this product to hold my base station(s) near ceiling level for optimal tracking, with the light Oculus CV1 base station (in images, the smaller cylinder object) it stays in place wherever and worked great, with the steam/Vive 1.0 base station (square object with IR and LEDs being emitted) for my Vive Pro I found that the cable would sometimes unbalance the sensor and it would swivel off to the side on the pipe mount along with it's weight, assuming the steam/Vive 2.0 sensors would be heavier and require more power and possibly a thicker heavier cord this would be an even bigger of an issue. One flaw this product has is that while you can angle/rotate the sensors/cameras vertically, there is no way to rotate it horizonally and tighten it in place, the only way of doing so is by tightening and loosening the camera from the mounting screw itself, which is risky and can cause movement/unbalance in it's desired direction, otherwise the product does well, and seems to withstand a hot pipe well, with no smelting or anything close, meaning it's pretty durable against that, and clamps on nice and tight with the twisting mechanisms for both clamp and vertical angle tightness (which is a separate twisting knob, where as the clamp for the pipe/round object iself is like a scooters tightener clasp)

Two Stars *Update* 8 years later
Feels insanely cheap...***Update***They may feel cheap but 5 years later still working like a charm.***Update***They may feel cheap but 8 years later still working like a charm. Updating to 5 stars...I mean can you ask for more out of a product?!? I would also like to add I move these around frequently, so it's not just because they've been attached to the same spot this whole time.

Perfect mount for my IP security camera
This is exactly what I was looking for. I was going to settle for some kind of small tripod, but I'm glad that I held out and found the clamp that I wanted. I needed something to hold up a Foscam IP security camera so that it had a better vantage point. I was a little concerned that it might not be able to hold it, but it does a great job. I doubt it would be able to hold anything much heavier though.Pros:* Small size makes it easy to relocate* Easy to install* Very inexpensive, especially compared to some other tripod alternativesCons:* Not strong enough to hold anything heavier than a compact camera. I think I am pushing it with an IP security camera.* Large base of the camera that I'm using makes it hard to tighten screw to secure clamp.

Not to be Trusted!
This clamp broke out of the blue while holding a small friction arm and an action cam. No touch, just fell out of the blue. I had gone into a different room and came back to find my camera and the mount in pieces. The camera seems to have survived after its faceplate was reattached. The clamp is shot, not that I would trust it again. I liked the way this clamp tightened as it clipped on better than the clamps that just screw to tighten and might have recommended it. Now that I've seen how the plastic can fail, I wouldn't buy another clamp that has plastic parts. This could have been an expensive lesson, as previously, I had used it to hold a small but expensive Canon camera for top-down shots. Dodged a bullet. I have a second one of these clamps holding an LED studio light. Now I'm going to change it out for a more rugged clamp with metal parts instead of plastic. DO NOT TRUST THIS CLAMP with anything that could break if dropped.

Ok mount for stationary situations
I probably had higher hopes for this than I should have, especially considering the price, but overall it was still fairly disappointing. I gave it three stars because for what it's worth it does work. It just works extremely poorly. The clamp always feels like its either too loose, or about to break. There is no middle ground. The actual 1/4 20 mount by virtue of it's spring loaded design wobbles all over the place and makes this clamp completely impractical for mounting a camera to anything that's moving. Which considering I bought this with the intention of using it to mount a tiny action camera to my kids bikes, and scooters and such, completely fails at that. Overall if you are looking to use this as a camera mount on something that is going to be moving... keep looking. If you are planning to use this to mount something that is fairly light and going to be stationary. It will probably do the job just fine.

Not as sturdy as hoped
Seemed well made upon first impression, but not very sturdy in real life. Wanted to use clamp to support small iPad on tripod leg. No go. Then tried to use it for selfie ring light. No go. Seems like you gotta go smaller and lighter still, if you really want to get some use out of it. I'd say 8 oz. to 12 oz. tops, for an item to be clamped, and even then, it's gotta be clamped close to the clamp itself. If your item extends out, away from the clamp, it'll put too much torque on the joint(s), and won't work well. Looks like clamp will be resigned to holding a small flashlight, for which it will do very well, just not what was hoped for its purchase.

Second one
After converting a second bike to e bike i needed a mount for my Mobius camera which I use on all my bike rides (you never know). I have had this same mount on my other bike for the last 3 years and it works flawlessly. I like the ability to mount it on the down tube which is fatter that handlebars or other attachments. Also being able to use a vertical mount is a plus.
