Tivoli Audio Model Three Bluetooth Clock Radio (Cherry/Metallic Taupe)

Always wanted a Tivoli. Bought 1 of each type. Nice sound. Nice look. Easy to use.

High quality radio. It has great sound, even in mono mode - and very easy on the eyes . For the first time, I'm receiving a perfect FM signal from a station 40 mi. away and another from 100 mi. away (strong at certain times of the day). This radio is used out in the country. The quirks of clock and alarm are not too hard to live with - with my routine. It has me enjoying music, just before sleep and after the alarm, so I guess the upside outweighs the other factors - for me.

Most of my problem with this radio is that it has a premium price but has poor sound performance. The up side:Nice looking, solid feel, everything works. If you change radio settings often, then get the Silver/Cherry version. The markings are very low contrast on the Taupe version (I have to side-light them with a flashlight to see them). For me it is not a problem as I always wake up to the same station and rarely need to change the settings. The alarm is easy to read and set. I cannot hear the tone alarm do to high freq. hearing loss (I'm 68) but my son can hear it from downstairs so it must work. Tivoli should use a wider freq mix, (check out the Thermoworks big and loud timer). My main complaint is the sound quality. There is a nasty resonance that cuts in and out at the normal frequencies for human speech (especially females) and it really muddies up the sound quality, sometimes it is almost incomprehensible. Sound quality using the headphone jack is clear with either a set of computer speakers or head phones.

I have very mixed feelings about this product. High marks for sound quality. Bluetooth capability is a nice add on. Beautifully designed. But, everything about the UI is terrible. Can't read the print on the face of the radio. Who ever dreamed up blue print on a black background? The clock loses time and needs to be adjusted on a daily basis. The alarm can't be set on AM, so you have to turn it off and turn it back on every day. Lots more complaints, but you get the gist.

Excellent FM stereo blue tooth radio. I own three and love the sound from each.

I like this product enormously. We wanted an analog interface that was intuitive and simple. We wanted knobs instead of buttons. And this is a very easy clock radio to manipulate with excellent sound and a fun bluetooth connection. That may or may not be worth $300 to you, but it was to us.

Arrived promptly on time and worked when plugged in. OK sound and FM tuner sensitivity and bluetooth. Now for the not so good: This item does not have dual alarm, nor usb charging, the cherry is very dry and of poor quality, and the front and rear panel graphics are so faint that it is almost impossible to read even with bright lighting, much fainter than in the website photos. Very hard to read in a bedroom. Returning it today for a more functional, less expensive option.

It is difficult to find a clock radio with an analog clock. The one I had before this one was much bigger and broke within a year. This one is more expensive but has a much better sound quality and is a nice size. The only thing that I would change would be to be able to dim the clock illumination.
