Great bit of kit.
I get fed up tripping over cables. This is easy to set up and I have found no difference in sound quality. I found two boss models on Amazon and I picked this because its easier to charge up (Plug transmitter into receiver, attach mains and it charges up). Plenty of time to play before recharging. It easily gets you through the night. I used it for rehearsals for 6 hours before recharging and it still had juice in it. The main light changes colour when it needs charged and that hasn't happened yet. However the main test is freedom of movement and I cant fault it yet. I moved around whilst playing and found no difference in sound quality. Also, all pedals work fine. Its placed at the start of your pedal board with all effects added after it. There is also an input socket as well as an output to next pedal (or amp). This then means that if you see the low charge light come on and don't want to take a chance, you can then plug in a normal cable between guitar and the receiver. This then overrides the receiver and you can play as you would normally.Excellent bit of kit.

Good set up - easy to use, been tested at gigs, and does exactly what i need it to - not a bad price either.

cable and wireless
No cable, no problem. Fits nicely on my pedal board and the battery life seems very good. The sound quality is fabulous no worries there. Some say there are problems when trying to use it with an acoustic but I haven't experienced that. I recommend this bit of kit as it is very good and the sound quality is great BUT I have deducted a star because it is well over £100 which I feel is rather expensive. Also if you have one of those guitars with an odly located jack socket you could run into trouble, likewise with tremolo arms. Having said all that this is darn good.

Bad design for transmitter charging
First the good stuff. If you play and electric bass/guitar/electro acoustic guitar WITH pedals or a pedalboard? This is what you need. Nothing else ( that I’ve tried, and I’ve tried loads of systems. Why? Price. Obviously 🙄) will work effectively. You will get noise/interference/buzzing and all sorts of audio noises in your lug holes that you definitely won’t want. However….. if you use ANY guitar that goes direct from guitar to amp? Buy something cheaper and it will work as good as this. Boss? Fantastic make, bullet proof reliability and one of the best you can buy, but at a price. There is zero loss of tone with this thing…… Now? The annoying bit…. As others have said, you connect the receiver to your pedal board ( tip - use 3M lock tape it’s miles better than Velcro ) and connect the transmitter to charge. Works beautifully…… UNLESS…… the pedal board ( in my case Pedaltrain with Voodoo Lab charger ) is not plugged into the mains….. if you slot the transmitter into the receiver when not connected to mains??? 30 mins tops and the transmitter LOSES ALL CHARGE - not good. Especially 30 mins before gig. So out comes the cable. You’ve been warned lol 😂…. I found out the hard way. Why? For the love of god did Boss not think of this when designing it? It would of been so simple for the transmitter to “ cut off/not lose charge at all when in this scenario. The solution? When pedalboard in storage? You need to leave 1/4 inch gap between the receiver and transmitter when it’s docked with no power to the board. 👍. Apart from that oversight? Works a treat.

Great product - very happy
I sent back the other cheap ass wireless system i had and got this instead. Works perfectly with all my boss pedals in a daisy chain and powers them all via the boss power supply. Sound is perfect. Would be better if the unit on the guitar folded in as it sometimes hits the ground when i put my guitar down. this will obviously depend what type of guitar you have. My main is a Rickenbacker 330 JG so if you have a guitar that has the output in the side then you need to be a bit more careful (eg les paul, ricks, gretsch )Great bit of kit though.

Perfect transmission without delay
I have this powered with the Boss PSA adaptor that I use for my Boss ME-80 effects board. I purchased the optional daisy chain cable (Boss) from Amazon so can power the ME-80 from the WL-50 DC output. Use the transmitter on a Fender Strat and Fender 12-string and 6-string. All work perfectly as if were connected by leads. No discernible difference using either. No delay from 10m distance. Great product for my studio work. No cables to fall over or get tangled up.
