16oz. (12"in Wide) and 20oz(24"in Wide Marine Trailer Bunk Carpet can be used for just about any indoor/outdoor application. Quality discount carpet that is rubber backed, fade resistant, and ravel resistant. Durable, easy to handle and install. 1-Unbolt and remove existing bunk boards from trailer. Take the existing bunk carpet off and sand away any glue or debris before applying new carpet. Examine the old bunk boards for damage. Replace if needed. 2-Measure the size of your boat bunks to determine the amount of bunk carpet you will need. 3-We highly recommend to staple your new bunk carpeting. This will help preserve your bunk carpet 4-Before carpeting your trailer bunks take the bolts used to secure your bunks to your trailer and insert them into your already drilled out holes on your bunk board. 5-Unroll and layout your new carpet (which you have already cut to size) with the rubber backing facing up. Place the bunk board evenly right to the edge of the laid out carpet. Leaving enough carpet on either end to completely wrap each end of your bunk. Hold the carpet to the board and start to roll the new carpet onto the bunk board. Staple down the first side. Then roll the board until it is completely covered. When you get to this point take a staple gun and apply staples every 2 to 3 inches along the bottom of the bunk board. This will ensure a secure and snug fit. If measured correctly when cut there should be about 2 inches or so of carpet left to overlap the first initial bottom side, staple down this excess carpet on top of the existing carpet. 6-Take the newly wrapped bunk board and place it with the bottom side up one last time and use the excess carpet you have already accounted for at either end and wrap, securing with glue or staples. Overlap and secure the excess carpet to the bottom side of the bunk. 7-Repeat steps for remaining bunks.

Quality is good, but overall disappointed
First off, let me start by saying im a college student who doesn’t have a lot of money for projects. With that in mind, I tried to base my purchase on as little waste material as possible. The reason I’m giving this a 2 is because although the product itself is of higher quality, they’re not true to their dimensions. I bought a 24” by 14’ roll. This would give me the perfect amount to cover new bunks for my boat trailer. Unfortunately, the whole roll was only a little above 23 inches wide. That might not seem like a big difference but 1 inch by 14’ is 168 square inches of missing product. A little over a whole square foot.I don’t know about you, but if I ordered a hamburger with a big bite out of it. I’d be disappointed. This feels the same.I will be ordering from a different company next time in hopes I get the FULL product I purchased.

Good, durable.
I purchased this for my boat trailer bunks. The carpet is durable and thick enough that it will not tear. The amount I bought was perfect for my bunks and the price was slightly below market because of the bulk roll, which I appreciate. It is not cheap stuff. If you are stapling to wood like I was, I would recommend 1/2" molar staples (to prevent rusting) so there is a good bite. For the thicker portions where I wrapped it on the ends, I used heavy duty cable staples (these you hammer in).I will update on durability, but hey, it's carpet. The staples and new wood are likely to fail before it does, which is the reason I needed new carpet, failure of the bunk itself.I will say when pulling the boat up, it does seem to slide easier up the bunks with the new carpet. However, I attribute this to the carpet not being matted down over years of use. Time will tell.

Thick but poorly made
I bought this to recover a few bunks on my trailer. This material is literally carpet with a glued backside. Cutting it leaves fraying edges. I used a lighter to seal every seam. The glued back surface is very thin and I expect it to come apart quickly. Furthermore, most bunks are 2x6, meaning 13 inches in circumference. Why is the product offered in 12 inch rolls? Overall, I am not happy and likely wasted $50 for the 24 inch "heavy duty" product.

Dealing with the company was a pleasure, product ws as advertised
The Pontoon boat I have has six bunk rails and required in excess of 100' of carpet. I ordered 100'.... I needed 102 feet....%#$&, see the problem. In the box the carpet came in, the owner supplied his personal contact information with the order as customer service, I reached out to him and he was very responsive, he sent me the additional amount of carpet I needed to finish the project. All and all, good quality and great customer service.. Thanks

Good feel on the 20oz version
I just bought this 24" x 14' carpet to cover 2 bunks 10 feet long using 2x4 s. I can't figure out why no one offers 10" wide bunk carpet, which is the perfect width for 2x4 s. Anyway I first cut my 10" width pieces and there was a little bit of fraying but nothing that bothered me. If you use a good sharp blade you shouldn't have a problem. I used spray on contact cement this time. So easy but did use an entire can for the 2 bunks. Set, wrapped and stapled the carpet. Looks great compared to my worn ratty old bunks. Looking to get minimum 10 years before replacing. We will see ?

Wish it was made better
I put the sold by the foot carpeting on a trailer walking plank. I was not a fan of this marine carpeting as it frayed and lost a lot of carpeting from the edges during the install. The rubber backing was just cracking and super thin. It could barely hold the carpeting in. It seemed that the only thing holding the carpeting together was the rubber backing. Others may have had better success but I was not a fan of this stuff. I did like the density and thickness of the carpet over another brand. I didn’t complain or ask for a refund since I was just installing it on a walking plank. Time will tell how in it’s longevity and durability.

Quality Carpet excellent Customer Service
Before and after photographs of the bunk carpet on my fishing boat trailer. Replaced the carpet with Carpet by the Foote 22 ounce black bunk carpet. Used stainless steel staples to attach the carpet. Very pleased with the quality of the carpet. Also ran a little short on carpet. Carpet by the Foote arranged to get me the extra carpet I needed to finish the job. Carpet by the Foote customer service was excellent. Recommend the 22 ounce carpet for its quality and Carpet by the Foote for its excellent customer service.

Initially good quality and customer service, BUT ultimately a TERRIBLE carpet.
Ordered a 100ft and got 4 bunks done. Good quality carpet and easy to work with as a DIYer. Needed a little more carpet for 2 more guide bunks, and the vendor was easy to work with to order just enough more to complete the project.BUT...15 months later, the carpet is not holding up. Looks as if the carpet melted. This is NOT a marine UV resistant carpet. Sickening to think how much time and effort that went into installing this terrible product, and to have to plan on doing it again.
